Yes, it looks like Türkiye just giving KSA what they wants.
If the drones are in hundred, you can expect the numbers to be in Billion.
While it is very good sale, but for KSA it misses the point, again. Just like with their other multi-billion dollars purchases.

Obviously, Expensive and sophisticated Western weapon systems in larger quantity has its own quality, but it can only go so far.

Even to this day with unprecedented advance in military technology, the most crucial component of warfighting is still the conceptual one.

I can almost bet, Saudis aren't buying these drones to develop highly integrated combined arms force multiplier.
Rather, they will probably use it as cheap and reliable alternatives to manned airstrikes.

When we talk about strategic partnership, our mind goes to big arms sales. However, if we look carefully, when it comes to strategic partnership Türkiye has something much more unique to offer.

Its NATO standards doctrine and training qualities can offer friendly countries long term strategic quality development in the conceptual realm of warfighting function. Which is much more crucial than any given individual arms sale.

Until Arab countries become politically close enough with Türkiye to develop such solid military to military relationships, these arms sale won't change that much.

Arms deal are not only made for Defence issue. It has a geostrategical point. S.A. could try to bind Türkiye, to counter Iran.

Guys I hope this isn't a silly question but what if the Saudis decide to use these drones against our interests can we negate the drones from doing so?

Quoting from the Oil and Gas thread,
South Cyprus, EU, UN.

Without South Cypriot agreement, looks dead on water to me. If Israel was to recognize N Cyprus, which I doubt is happening, it'd be a great start though.
Turns out, this was published just yesterday. We've seen this multiple times, yes. But for the first time in 20 years, there could be actual incentive for a change in the status quo with the Israeli gas connection.

Without question, a big yes from Selçuk B himself to this specific question.

He get this question regularly and his answers are that these are just computers and anything is possible, implying we have full control of them. The same obviously applies to any aircraft we buy from others.

Now the government presents it as a success. Begging at the gates for an F16 when we could have gotten an F35...

For years, we have been experiencing the test of how badly a country can be governed in every field.

DER SPIEGEL Op-Ed, by Henrik Müller

Why Turkiye and Ukraine could save the EU - or blow it up

What would happen if Ukraine and Turkiye joined the EU? In one fell swoop, the Union would grow by a third. Europe could become a global power factor. But the dangers would be great.

In an article by German economist Henrik Müller published in the German Spiegel magazine, it was stated that if Turkiye and Ukraine become EU members, the Union could become a global power factor and an important actor on the world stage.

EUROPE BECOMES A GLOBAL POWER IF TURKIYE JOINS
In the article analyzing the possible EU membership of Turkiye and Ukraine, it was assessed that if both countries become members, the EU would grow by one third in terms of area and "Europe could thus become a global power factor, an important actor on the world stage."

Pointing out that the EU could have two more large member states within 10 years, along with some small candidate countries in the Balkans, the following assessments were made:

"Turkiye already has a larger population than Germany and continues to grow demographically in a very dynamic way. Turkiye also has a geographical area about twice the size of Germany. Ukraine, on the other hand, is relatively sparsely populated and covers a larger land area than France, the largest EU country by area. If both countries were to join the Union, the EU would quickly expand its area by a third and its population by a quarter. It would be a mega-expansion that would eclipse anything that has happened in the process of European integration since the 1950s."

DEMOGRAPHIC DECLINE CAN BE SLOWS
Pointing to Turkiye's advantage of having a young population, which is expected to last for a long time, the article said: "In today's EU countries, the situation is completely different and as a union we are facing serious demographic challenges. Country populations are aging and in many places the number of people of working age is falling. Significant areas in Eastern and Southern Europe are almost abandoned. There is an acute labor shortage. In this sense, Turkiye's possible EU membership could help the EU to soften its demographic decline. In turn, the accession perspective could help Turkiye overcome its structural problems and integrate itself into the wider European community of values and internal market. This is potentially a big win for both sides."

The article argues that Turkiye, like Hungary and Poland, has problems in areas such as the rule of law and the economy, and points out that Turkiye would be the most populous EU country in a possible accession and would have a corresponding weight in EU decisions, making Ankara a power factor comparable to Berlin and Paris.

Crazies never end when it comes to anything Turkey related... This being said on July 20 is of course has a meaning, but one also gotta consider the Israeli gas angle...

Southern Cyprus will say at a meeting of EU foreign ministers today that it will support Turkey's membership bid in return for island's reunification

Southern Cyprus also wants Merkel, a recognized and respected political figure who can convince the parties, to be appointed as special envoy.

Would be great opportunity for Turkiye to sell it’s air defence system.
