Trump only has 4 years, then it is over with his active career.
I expect him to rule ruthlessly, and in a quick style not tolerating any kind of behavior within his own ranks against his wishes be it on Türkiye or other areas.

Marco Rubio hasn't been officially chosen yet, plenty of time for Trump to get pissed off at him and change his mind. Plus an interesting point about Trump is that he very frequently changed his cabinet staff during his first administration because they kept trying to backstab him. Mostly the neocon sector.

For Syria
Little Marco, Marco Rubio is a follower, he changes positions when it suits, Waltz was the one who wanted US visas for SDF fighters, this is him trying to get the useful ones out of Syria before a full withdrawal.

Israel might lobby to stop US withdrawal. AIPAC lobbying is the biggest threat, they convinced Trump last time to not leave Syria and "take the oil", lets see if it works now.

The new trump cabinet seems to be literally completely filled with neocons. These are the same people who tried to backstab trump many times during his first presidency. In other words, the current events, prove to us once again that regardless of who wins the white office the zionist/jewish deep state will be the ones who run the country as always

Good, but I think that he should have started building a prosperous future for his own country first before trying to do it for the others. Because with everything that is happening in Turkiye right now, the future doesn’t look that bright.

Well, that's beside the point. Domestic mismanagement is no excuse for international disengagements. Engaged foreign policy breeds sophistication among the politicians of a country and creates a tradition of astute realpolitik analysis and veteran intelligence people. These are aspects which all countries need to foster, big and small.

Many of the mistakes of our current politicians in the international arena are not directly on them but due to their isolationist forebears. This might be a surprise but in this regard I align with the likes of Ahmet Davutoglu (😂) more than you might glean from my postings on this forum.

Don't fret I'm not with him on the specifics, just that engaging far and wide in the middle-east is prudent policy; retreating into your shell cannot sustain an ambitious outlook in terms of energy policy, maritime trade and a military and diplomatic forward base for opening up markets.

this isn't aimed at anyone in particular, but I would suggest that we don't start blaming "outside forces" once again.

the country is full of 10+ million foreigners - pkkistan project is marching forward - new peace process is coming up

who's responsible for all of this? "oh bu-bu-but its America and I-I-sreal" shut the f up, tell me again who's been ruling the country for 20 years?

If you treat foreign policy as a tool for gaining voters and holding your grip on power this is the result. We're becoming a second Iran, and that isn't a good thing.

Elections need to hurry up.

Not sure about the history of the author and there are several things I disagree with, but worth a read to see how Erdoğan's rule has hurt our interests.

It doesn't take a big event, World War III could break out at any time.

🤦‍♂️ I don't even know what to say anymore, it's like we are purposely trying to become Iran 2.0, meanwhile Arab countries don't give a shit about Israel. Truth is it's all for domestic consumption. Our foreign policy is a JOKE.

I honestly dont know what the endgame here is. We don't gain anything about being the loudest opponent of Israel. We just lose.

I honestly dont know what the endgame here is. We don't gain anything about being the loudest opponent of Israel. We just lose.

Its mainly to do with the kurdistan project. So a month ago they talked about further changing the constitution. This opens Turkiye up to being divided, with first autonomy and then later separation. Its a step by step process. Kurdistan iraq, Kurdistan, Syria and Eventual Kurdistan Turkiye. The euro-origin powers including isreal have been behind it every step of the way.

So the trick is to get the Turkish people focussing on isreal and talks about world war 3, that way as your nation is being destroyed and divided internally you won't even notice it. And its obvious as stated on here that autonomy will be sold as Turkiye expanding. Just look at syria and see how the world oppossed us everytime we moved from Russia, to the US to the EU. None of those powers would allow the Kurds to take a position that unites them with Turkiye.

Truth is the Turkish nation is being bent over and from the looks of it their not only going to accept it, they are going to celebrate it like something good was achieved. divide and conquer and no more.

Before thinking about the endgame we have to realize that Israel conspired to usurp KKTC rights in Eastern Mediteranean.
They're fully onboard future Belgian, French, Swedish, German ships fishing all the fish 6 km away from Turkish shores according to Sevilla map.
Each day they're dropping bombs further north, today only 80 minutes of car-drive away from Turkish border.
Now you can argue it is all Erdogan's fault, he's bad Islamist pretending Israel is ruled by kumbaya Greta Thunberg kind of world savers.
Israel's establishment is filled with Jewish Talibans and their demographic trajectory will make them less secular each passing month.

There's panic in Israel due to detoriating USA superpower status in the world, so they threw all morale consideration away to make facts on the ground, expands as much as possible as long as USA still has the upper hand against China and remains sole Superpower.

I also reject posts arguing Turkey is becoming Iran.
Iranian society is becoming less Mullah-Iran.

Israel is turning Jewish-Mullah. Society and establishment.
You can realize and acknowledge what's happening despite hating Erdogan.
These are not your friends.

There's no such thing as morals in geopolitics, only winners and losers. You think the alies were actually the good guys in WW1/WW2? No, but they won. You think the USA was the good guy in the cold war? No, but it was the Soviet Union that collapsed. You think Israel is the good guy in this current conflict? No but they will also win.

If you are thinking in terms of morals and emotions, you've already lost the war.

I find the idea that Israel is becoming some kind of backwards Jewish version of Afghanistan/Iran hilarious. Yes just like Islam, their religion is backwards, but it doesn't even matter because they don't let dogmas hold them back, they've probably broken all rules of their religion just to gain power. Furthermore, their language, religion and culture are all their's. Jewish identity is intertwined with the state of Israel. The same can't be said for Türkiye or Iran, where half the population wants to follow an Arab religion and the other half wants to go back to their roots.

I'm sorry to say but neither Türkiye nor Iran will prosper under Islamist rule. Both countries are heavily handicapped. Even look at the gulf countries who are rapidly secularizing. They've exported their religion for so long and now they're watching the fireworks from a safe distance.

I'd also like to add that the USA had it's dirty hands in Islamizing a lot of countries, most likely for the benefit of Israel. You can find declassified documents that mention this, one of them even mentioned that they wanted to remove secularist generals from the Turkish military and install a "mild" Islamist regime which would be better for US interests. What do you all think FETÖ and tarikats were for?

I'm hoping for early elections

We are a joke of a country sad to see what happened to our beautiful country because of this Hukumet with all the Yes men.
