Revising the EU-TR customs union in return for the opening of Turkiye-Armenia border is a win-win deal. There is the question of the Zangezur corridor though.

"In the next few months you will see a new meeting between our two leaders and our two foreign ministers, a renewal of the bilateral agenda, of all these issues that have been discussed for five years. Things like F35, F16, S400s, sanctions, tariffs are secondary to our mission. I think for the first time, for the first time, the United States and Turkey have a commitment that says 'let's be partners on the offensive' rather than just defense partners."
I'm more interested in that last sentence, to be "partners that go on the offensive" or it can be read as "let's act together".
That is 50% exciting, and 50% scary. US doesn't have equal partners, that's now how they view the world. They are happy with leaving countries be in their small worlds but unless you're Israel, you don't get to pull US to the direction you want to go.
That could only mean that this very rarely talked about happenstances that's been going on since september with PKK, Syria, Gaza, Israel and Iran may be more linked together than we think. Where are we being led to? Why do I have a feeling that we won't like it?
Should we expect a Zaihanist "Turkey will rule MENAT for US and will keep Israel safe as the regional hegemon" or "be happy with where you stand and take Libya as prize or I unleash my attack dog netanyahu on you."?

Ain't no such thing as a free lunchIf that guy doesn't talk bs and if those plans won't have a negative impact on our defense industry/rights in East Med, then wouldn't it be a good thing to stick to USA without getting too dependant of them? I mean the next 15 years should be as less turbulent as possible for us until our biggest defense projects mature. But like i said without giving away our rights.
DitoTom Barrack is the most dangerous and cunning ambassador ever appointed to Turkiye as far as I can remember. We should be extremely cautious and careful when dealing with him.

Adding on the actual interview in original language and Turkish subs. Imploring everyone to watch this to see where we are potentially heading.

To late for that, the first order to make peace with the PKK is already done. That is criminal. It is totally against our constitution.
I am ready to take some heat, but I will write anyway. So,what he is saying is,''you have to you must make peace with Israel''.
That's not what he said at all.
Only part he even refers to that is here:
"Barrack praised Turkey’s ability to host a diverse population and pointed to İzmir as a symbol of peaceful coexistence among Muslims, Jews, and Christians. “This should be the norm across the region.”
He argued that the Ottoman “millet” system offered valuable lessons and called for a “new dialogue—not war” for the next generation. Turkey, he said, combines military capability with a hardworking, globally aware population. “President Trump sees this,” he affirmed."
I wrote about this interview above, few days ago.
There is no twist. He is implying his intentions in a cunning way. He is the ambassador of the US. When he talks about something, he is not talking randomly. Especially this guy. He is praising the millet system; we can deduce why. We are not stupid, and it is not the first time he is bringing the Ottoman Empire, Sykes-Picot etc to the conversation.
