France didn't deploy Rafales,but 9 alpha jets,an A400M and a KC-130J. They arrived before Macron's visit to Lebanon today.

The alpha jets will take part in a ceremony tomorrow celebrating the proclamation of the state of Greater Lebanon.

Thanks, but they were also rumors that French soldiers were deployed in Beirut and and a photo was circulated recently, can you confirm ?

It is true. France did deploy hundreds of Légionnaires from the 1st and 2nd Foreign Engineer Regiment + their equipments. They are solely there on an assistance mission,not combat.
