News from September 15th

"Seven outstanding students graduated this month from our one-year Test Pilot and Flight Test Engineer Graduate programmes. Four of these students had the opportunity to concurrently earn Master of Science in Flight Test Engineering degrees. We congratulate each of these Royal Canadian Air Force, Bundeswehr Technical and Airworthiness Center and Turkish Aerospace Industries students for their hard work in a very challenging programme. Working with many aircraft, including trips to several manufacturers, students validated the airworthiness and mission capability of fixed wing or rotary wing aircraft through planning, testing and reporting."

TAI has opened a fuel testing facility for HÜRJET.

TAI established the test facility designed with national resources to perform the tests of HURJET's fuel systems. Thus, the fuel system of Turkey's first jet trainer HÜRJET will be safely flown and tested on the ground before the first flight.

In tests to be carried out with HURJET's one-to-one fuel tanks and fuel system; Fuel transfer, filling/discharging, engine feeding and ventilation systems and sealing processes in the aircraft will be tested at this facility. With the experience gained from this facility, which will remain in operation for the life of HÜRJET, work has also begun to establish a new facility where the fuel systems of the National Combat Aircraft will also be tested. The company will also contribute to the design improvements of the platforms as a result of the test data it will obtain from these facilities.

With the facility, which will provide advantages in terms of time and finance, Turkish Aerospace Industries, which gave the company the ability to test aircraft fuel systems, has also developed one of the world's leading facilities in its field with domestic and national resources. Along with the test data to be obtained here, it will be ensured that the aircraft design data remain in our country.

Rumors from SAHA EXPO

General Electric has stopped the delivery of the HURJET F404 turbofan engine.
They still haven't delivered. A possible embargo may be on the way, folks.
You mean new engines, right? Because iirc, the engines for the prototypes were already delivered in summer.

We Should have gone with RR and had those engines produced under license in Turkey.
This just shows that nothing should be purchased from USA from now on that is defence related.
They can not be dependable.

I asked again just to be sure. It has become clear that an embargo has been placed on Hürjet prototypes.
You mean we don't even have engines for the first flight? Good grief! Not another Altay saga!🤬

It does not happen just like snap to take a chunk of the weapons market dominated by big players.
Just like how TB2 swept the place off of the competition Hürjet and others will play a similar role.
All of our weapons systems for that matter.
Let's see what happens after the US midterms.
We will need to go full steam with our engine projects.

When will Turkish companies call to their minds and stop trusting Americans. Hell even GE's shares in TEI should be seized and given to a more reliable intl partner like RR or to Kale.

Twin engine Hürjet, now!
Twin engine Hürjet, now!
Twin engine Hürjet, now!
That would set us back at least five years and that's if everything goes fine. We have to get those F404s. There's no getting around it.
