I think whoever is making the plans is overly optimistic. Turkey is developing its own fighter for the first time. Unmanned systems though impressive is different than the manned systems. Refining the Flight control laws themselves will take time with testing. And if there are Hardware design issues in P1, then you rectify them in P2 and start refining the laws again. And then having to qualify the radars, test and prove weapon integration first, fuel tanks have to be certified separately etc.
Any decent R&D even with best funding and management for a new project in my opinion will take 6-10 years. First flight run in 2023, induction in 2025 seems really unlikely.

We gain from our experience to build 3. Generation fighter jets and of course our participation in JSF program.

Nope cuz he's said the same thing over and over again. We believe in him.
We are 1.5 year from this calender ..but till now no prototypes have been produced or started to be produced ..esp for t929 and hurjet ..it takes time to finish the ground tests .. so they will finish all of these processes within 1.5 year !!

Hürjet roll-out will be at the end of this year. If it is delayed, The roll-out will be held at the beginning of 2022.

Hürjet rollout will happen anytime from December 2021 to March 2022 depending on how well things go. Ground tests will be done in 2022. The first flight will be in 2023. Whether it will happen on 18 March 2023 or 29 October 2023 remains to be seen. Mr.Kotil seems confident. I give 70/30 chances for the two dates.

Either you guys want your test pilot dead or you live in fantasy .

No country in world has ever produced a fighter jet in just 6 months .

Their is no steel cutting yet , no components testing with 1:1 model , neither you have started its software part for engine integration.

If hurjet rolls out by year end ,then either it's in your dreams or you have to fly it with balloon attached .

Tfx is highly optimistic too , you will get delayed by atleast 2-3 years .

Tfx will be rolled out in 2025 -2026 and induction in 2030's .

Chill down , manned system need time .

OH wow you work at TAI? Can you tell us more?
Nope , But TAI is not headquartered at vulcan planet , right ?

And any sensible person will laugh at you for taking words of officials as some inscription on wall of tomb .

He is keeping over ambitious target for himself , most companies keep that , doesn't mean all can achieve that feat

Hürjet CDR was done in May this year. What makes you think there wasn't a steel cutting or component testing etc? The project started in 2017. 5 years for a roll-out and 7 years for first flight is not optimistic, it's normal.

Looking at the state of Tejas, you may be used to long delays but TAI has good track record with their projects.

Which project ???

I can't recall another fighter jet from turkey .

If you mean animation by track record ,sorry we don't count that here .

And steel cutting is a big event for first fighter jet , there would be lots of celebration on forum if it was done already .

And btw ,tejas mk2 was taken up in reformed form in 2017-18 , steel cutting in jan 2021 , roll out next year ,and ff by 2023 .

You need some info like above ,not just hot air to back up your claims

How do you know that they didn't already started with the prototypes?

T929's engine is showcased at IDEF21 btw. The T625 is a good example, September 2013 contract signed for light utility helicopter, 2014 first designs appeared... September 2018 first flight.

Hürjet is not a fighter, it is an advanced jet trainer that will have an armed variant. And metal cutting ceremonies are not common for this kind of projects. Just because they didn't hold a ceremony doesn't mean it didn't happen. I am confident the aircraft has already taken shape.

As you like it , but 2021 end is not far , let's just wait for it , but as you know these prototype are generally manufactured with help of various supplier , so to check if the tai is doing it or not ,just check the tender issued by them , as they have to procure raw materials and all

Dont forget that TAI is getting help from BAE systems
This will speed up the development of such projects
BAE Systems is one of the most prestigious aerospace companies in the world, even more than TAI for now
I believe TAI can fulfill its deadlines using BAE's help. I was so glad when BAE decided to help TAI as they are way better than Lockheed pricks
Just wishing that hurjet rolls out in december; cant wait anymore
Yup ,but still you need to start manufacturing , bae don't have magic wand .

It needs time to manufacture , and if they think they can do it in just 6 months or less , it will disappointment for many turkish memebers

why everything 2023?
Two factors
1- it coincides with the 100th year of the republic of Turkey; thus, it is anspecial day in the hearts of the turks and these projects are without a doubt a symbol of strength and independence. I mean how many nations can actually build their own fighter jets and 5th generation to boast at that...... like even most of europe cant do so and even those who can mainly do so by partnerships with other countries. Not to mention that none in Europe can produce 5th gen fighter jets till now

2- Politics
The AKP probably wanna prove to the ppl that they are the ones who pioneered the industrial revolution in Turkey and that they are the ones who will propel Turkey and the Turks to even greater heights and ofcourse elections. They wanna use such things as propaganda and again if they did actuqlly make it, then they deserve to use it as propaganda such projects began and ended during the AKP era...... they will probably say..... we only ruled for 20 years and did all that and now compete with the likes of USA and China while the CHP ruled during the previous 50 years (Pre AKP era) and did nothing. This is probably the mentality they are going for....... I guess

Honestly, if they are true to their word and actually managed to get such planes done by 2023 it will be a great achievement tbh no matter what other ppl say as there is only a year and half left. Moreover, it will be a sign to the whole world and to those who thought that the turks are weak that the TURKS are coming to get your fqing asses and oh boy have the turks been treated by the west and the gulf unfairly during the past decade. Some ppl may get whopped badly by 2040s......lol
