There's no way they can fly this before the year is out. Just my two cents.

This was the state of Hurjet when the Malaysian PM visited TAI. I don't think she will fly this year, but it would be unwise to speak based on a footage that could've been taken any time.

They don't allow pictures, when the time comes they will share it.

I see a few people here complaining about TAI, huffing and puffing as if it was Lockheed Martin or Boeing.
TAI is doing amazing work with so many parallel projects in record time. Let's not forget that many of these are first time endeavours holding fair amounts of risks and/or teething problems with them.
Try to cut them some slack and appreciate their efforts instead of being Debbie Downers all the time.

TAI is doing amazing work with so many parallel projects in record time. Let's not forget that many of these are first time endeavours holding fair amounts of risks and/or teething problems with them.

It's not about being doom and gloom. I don't care if they'll fly it before the year's end or three months later and what not. As long as I see a veritable progress, I'm good. And I'm pretty content with TAI's rate of progress so far.

The problem was Mete Yarar's constantly hyping his program and raising our expectations. I honestly thought we would get some of the projects' first-time photos or a leap in Hürjet's or MMU's prototypes. But we had none of that. So I'm frustrated with Mete not with TAI.

This informations has been written and said dozens of times. It was a pretty empty program. Mete Yarar seemed to give the good news of an atomic bomb when he said wait for tomorrow for the program.

The current schedule for Hurjet is already an updated one since the project already suffered delay. It is safe to say some concerns over the progress of the aircraft development are justified. However, I don't think TAI has revised the plan since the company completed the Critical Design Review Phase (CDR) back in 2021 so here is hope that TAI sticks with the new schedule.

It would have been better if this Mete Yarar guy had asked about the Test Readiness Review (TRR) Phase which would have given us more insignt of the progress. Has the project passed TRR already? In the original schedule, it was one year (12 mths) after CDR and this means TAI should have achieved TRR during the first half of this year. TAI was not shy of announcing the completion of CDR and TRR was one of milestones from the original published schedule so it shouldn't even be a military secret.

Probably he had never heard of these "design review" words in his life.

I have always been one step away from ignoring you and not seeing your posts altogether. From the very first day you had a condescending prejudice that the likes of me would be people trying to flee to Europe and all condescendence from your side. You have this fallacy that my words are laden with efforts to please someone who I have never seen in person. Not giving any though that I am speaking from my own vision of matters and not somebody else's.

What you are saying as critical thinking is purely oriented to opposing the vision of a powerful Türkiye governed by a strong government that bring stability and strength to the country and not caving in to bully powers.

One last word before I ban you from appearing to my attention any more, Hürjet is a plane that many equivalents that are accessible by every nation in the world exist and not at all critical for military strategy of Türkiye. It is İsmail Demir who suggested that TAI make a lesser plane before they attempt to make the MMU to hone their plane making skills, from Temel Kotil's words. Such a marginally important plane and you suggest that Türkiye make an engine for it spending a lot of its energy on it instead of on something else that really matters like the Özgün engine for MMU or the TF6000 which needs the attention.

Logical thing to do is to produce a smaller engine before you go bigger. As the proverb go: ” walk before you run”!
6000lbf thrust class engine to be produced first. This is going to be our first shot at a turbofan. Then it should be a 12000lbf class engine that can power Hurjet. Then 20-24000lbf class engine that will be powerful enough to propel TFX. (All dry thrust values by the way)
Any one can say “we are in a position to produce an engine as powerful as f110.
“ Proof of the pudding is in the eating. Put your money where your mouth is!“ . Go ahead and do it!
We haven’t even got an operational 6000lbf thrust level turbofan yet.
These things take time and money.
I still believe our best bet is to go ahead with RR/Kale partnership. They can respond very quickly to what we want and furnish 2-3 initial squadrons of TFX with the right engines. This would give enough time for us to produce our indigenous engine without undue pressure.

We saw the second prototype last night. There seems to be 2 final assembly lines. The first prototype was stationed on the left hand side whereas the second prototype is currently undergoing assembly on the right, which is further away from the hangar door.

Judging by this, the first prototype should be complete by now and moved elsewhere for engine installation.

Ismail Demir: "Hürjet's domestic engine project is currently on the drawing board but we don't see it as a priority since we have more priority projects. Our priorities are in other engine projects."
