While this is a funny anecdote, it is also a serious problem. Are there any guarantees that the same thing won't happen with engines for serial production?

If the APU of the engine they produced was constantly failing, shouldnt they just manufacture a new one? I guess that this was their excuse to try and hinder the project for as long as possible for political agenda especially when the elections are close; however, when Temil Kotil threatened them, they felt that having their near-impeccable reputation as the top engine producer would take a hit; thus, giving a second hand one

I mean how can a company that produces hundreds of engines for at least a decade fail in making an APU for an old engine for gods sake

No, the design of the APU was problematic. And they could not fix it. If there was a political excuse behind it, they should have given a brand-new engine, not a second hand one. But instead they gave us what they produced for a different jet.

I'm beginning to like that possible deal with UK including RR engines more and more..
let's imagine that GE won't deliver those engines, what could RR provide us with to replace the 404 ?
i guess the Adour has french input, so it's unlikely.
seems like if such things happen we are .........

By the way, my chief engineer friend at TEI said that the engine burned excessive oil and it should burn as much oil as in this video. However, he also said that this is normal if the engine was run on the Hürjet for the first time without being tested in Bremze.

I remember someone here writing an EJ200 facility was on the table within the possible deal with UK. If that is true, EJ200 or a variation of it might replace F404's.

Now, I don't know if that would work or if it's possible, I'm no expert. But I do now that this is the perfect time to make a deal with the UK and companies based there because of how much Brexit has fucked them over for the foreseeable future.

The engine to be developed for the MMU should be suitable for both double and single use.

While MMU uses twin engines, Hurjet MRF(multi-role fighter) and bigger variant of Anka-3 (without afterburner) should be able to use it as single engine. As long as we outsource engine procurement, we cannot eliminate these supply risks.

All hurjets will be two seats or there will be 1 seat version as well , in video this prototype looks two seat if i am correct !

Diameters of both engines are very different despite the weight is closer. EJ200 has a smaller diameter, that changes everything and redesign would be needed. Sorry but only options are F404 and F414 for Hurjet's current design.

Smaller diameter engine is usually not that big problem and can be made fit

Hurjet can very well use the EJ200 if chosen, the main difference is in the air intakes that need to be adjusted for the type of engine (but even that may not be necessary as the pressure and bypass ratio's of both engines are very similar)

Couldn't TEI upgrade the TF-10000 engine just by increasing its size so that its Specifications can match that of the 404 engine?

And depressed! Cause we ain't making anything.😞

Sadly Turkey is struggling as well, with only 3% of Turkey's exported products being high-tech, with 36% being medium-tech and 61% being low-tech. Surprisingly the UAE actually has a high-level of High-tech export than Turkey, with a manufactured export share of 8%, but that may be because of foreign companies are taking advantage of the fact they do not need to pay taxes in the UAE.

It would be limiting if EJ200 were bigger rather than smaller.
