2 FOC are being used as test bed for Mk1A. In fact one of them have already test flown with Elta 2052 AESA radar. Another one might fly Uttam or integrating updated console with EW Pod.

Don't know what they quite mean by this, I guess lets see what happens:
" The engine will be manufactured in India. In this regard, we had MoU with GE for its manufacturing with 100 per cent transfer of technology. "
That's 300 jets (including Mig-21s) which means IAF will have to place an order for atleast 12 squadrons of LCA Mk-2 but IAF's chief recently stated that they're considering only 6 squadrons of Mk-2s. The punk is still talking about MRFA of 100+ jets...BJP govt would never allow some $30bn+ to be dumped to a foreign firm irrespective of the offset clause they offer. Dassault didn't meet/fulfill the offset requirements per the 36 Rafale deal and all MoD could do was levy a meagre fine of $1mn - hilarious since Dassault might've paid a lot more in kickbacksDefExpo 2022: IAF to phase out Mig-29, Mirage and Jaguar fighter jets by 2035; LCA Mk2 will replace them

When IN is hellbent on not using a single engined fighter for carrier ops and TEDBF is no where close to prototype, what exactly are they evaluating with N-LCA landings on the Vikrant and on the shore based ski-jump ramps!!Aviation history! An Indian-made fighter lands on an Indian-made aircraft carrier for the first time. Seen here is an LCA Navy landing on INS Vikrant out on the Arabian Sea today.
