I didn't know that UAE has that many defence products, they are investing heavily like Turkey but I wonder how many of them functional and how many are mock ups. Apart from 4x4 I haven't seen UAE products on the field. They are developing 8x8 but at the same time choosing Arma from Turkey, developing various UAVs but instead sending Chinese ones to Libya.

Development takes long for many programs and these are very new projects. Turkey, and China can offer ready built systems that are already battle ready. Of course a system built by a UAE company will be optimized for the country's environment and be a lot better at meeting the direct needs of the country.
