Looks like that distal aiming sight is foldable now
Refining of the butstock made the rifle more handsome. The more slender the looks the better.

I hope some upgrade to the pieces in the field can be made to make soldiers happier.
This is a very good weight reduction! For example one of the nicest and lightest 7.61x51 rifles the SIG-716I TREAD modified with the special handguard from SIG (TREAD) is 150gr heavier but it is more thinner and it has longer handguard. I think MKEK did a good job with their modification. Now when they enter inventory lets see the feedback of the soldiers. I am looking positive at this. I think the next to be modified with new handguard type would be KNT-76.
They should upgrade the rifles that are already in use in the army not just the new batches.Likely the weight was reduced as a result of the feedbacks from soldiers.
Not sure but I believe soldiers are issued the right caliber for their mission. It is not that the 556 is not in stock. Turkish army operations are generally in the open field where range is more valuable than ammo count. They had better pass to 5.56 mm. It would solve all completions from soldiers. Reducing weight how will effect reliability?
In order to use M-LOK design you have to get permission from Magpul and they have to ensure you are producing it on the needed standard and quality. M-LOK is a patented interface. Instead of M-LOK they used another modular design with screws which is again better than the standard picattiny. There is also the KeyMod interface but there is some info pointing at that it is not reliable enough. Why didn‘t they choose a M-LOK style handguard would have probably saved a little bit more weight.
