Maximum range of shotguns is 100 meters which is poor however it is better than nothing. Regarding full auto shotgun, i would say it would be useless. Semi auto engagement is more accurate.

This gun and its short 20mm caliber would be interesting, if the ammo were smart with proximity fuse.

Man South Africa has such weird weapons.

Interesting how South Africa during Apatheid had such good army and a good military industry. Even came close to getting nukes. Also the country has fair share of weird weapon designs.

We have to compare the KMG 762 with FN MAG, M240B or H&K MG5 and it's lighter than all of them.

There is FN Evolys 7.62 which is around 6.3 KG but I am not a gun expert so not sure they are in the same class.

Durability of rifle is important but they don't have to sacrifice comfort of soldiers.

I would not like to carry all day our MPTs.

Well the KALE C5 (collapsable) is unloaded 2.85kg if that is tiring you after just 5 min, hit the gym asap.

FN P90 is a trash gun, with trash ergonomics (played around with a replica of it) only interesting thing is it's caliber. Probably the same guy designed the abomination called FN 2000.
