Do you think how long we've been waiting for this payment drama to end? Still need to wait longer?

I'm not worried too much about this KFX matter. Our MoD already "setor muka" at launching, a lot of korean investments here (especially electric car), and we already spent 200 million dollar. We already crossed the line of no return.

They'll solve their problem somehow.

I am not sure about that.

@Madokafc IIRC didn't you said we got involved (or interested?) in development project with LIG Nex1 on some kind of missile, this Taurus KW I think. Idk I may be wrong it was old discussion in the old place.
My bad, it was smart bomb.

>Rafale
>Low operational cost
Maybe it will be cheaper to operate if it can fly with one engine.

Who else is Gripen stan in this thread Except @Parry Brima ? Pls raise your hand.
For me the choices will be FA50/F16/Gripen.

If SK integrate Taurus KW to FA50, then it will be more appealing than Gripen, no need new type of airframe.

I think you worry about money too much. Watch out, the narrative that tells you "we don't have money" could be part of some marketing BS from certain side :)

Well, the episode seems to be long. Definitely not just an aftermath :)

After getting humiliated by the US in Australia, wonder if he knows that his beloved fighter is currently in another fierce battle against the US products in another Indo-Pacific country :)

Humiliated by the US second time in a row? Surely that will send even stronger earthquake across EU :D

Remember he is also facing elections soon (and has to pre-empt lot of what Le Pen will use for it).

I track these things in larger 1 - 2 year time frames as minimum resolution tbh....the weekly and monthly "talk" stuff has to actually build up there to count IMO.

1. Buy F16 and FA50 as many as our money allow us.

if there's the money to buy 2 squadrons worth of FA-50,imo its better to spent on 1 full squadron of the F-16V instead.

FA-50 will not do much when our neighbors has F-35, Super Hornet, J-16, etc.

on long term prospect I think we must find a way to have those F-35. there's no other way around, we MUST have VLO planes on our inventory.

Part of global SDG and investment program if i not miss
Obama administration and Clinton journey to bali back in 2010-2011 ASEAN meeting, pivot to asia policy, softenen our position or maybe bribe us for US military present in region

And also the time we got a falcon free of.. Errr.. Charge.. I think 😆
Speaking jujur MEF procurement is not only design to fulfil our capability in defence but also (some broker and defence contractor) retirement fund also...

I have a feeling that MoD doesn't want FMS, does anyone here feel the same too? CMIIW

I always see that MoD is always setengah hati if the procurement using FMS scheme.

Many countries (Qatar, Saudi, Israel, etc) purchased F-15 through FMS. What's the reason not liking it? Is the "FMS version" much worse than the ones the USAF operate?
I assume you're a grown man.

Not accusing someone of anything, but i just have a pinch of suspicion.

However F-15 SG, K, SA and QA; F-16 Block 70 are examples of export versions that are better that what being used by USAF at the time of their acquisition
