If G30S never happened its very likely that AURI will operate MiG-23, 25 while its bomber fleet adopts Tu-22 Blinders in the decades of 60s-80s.

But even that scenario, AURI will have a hard time in the 90s when S.U fell with the end of cheap spare parts. And our pilot training will be subpar compared to what we received from Western air force.

So G30S is a blessing in disguise for the air force ?

- Rafale
- A-400M
- Heavy Transport Aircraft (C-130J-30 Super Hercules)
- Modernization of the C-130H/HS aircraft
- (A) MRCA / Mirage 2000 (with support)
- Lift and their supports

By 1963 Indonesia already being close with China (poros Jakarta Beijing Pyongyang) and Soviet Union already put pressure against Indonesia by then and already withold some if not most of critical spareparts equipment and insist payment must be done with cash, in which Soekarno already sent some delegation Twice in 1965 and 1966 to negotiated the payment options. By then the operational readiness of Soviet Union Made equipment already plummeted, and China is already in economy quagmire as their cultural and social revolution started taking toll and difficult to support Indonesia request.

By 1970 after the transition of power, New order government already assessed Indonesia can't maintain and sustain Soviet Union made equipment in the inventory because of many factor including scarcity of budget and also Soviet reluctance to do business without cash payment in US Dollar and trading off those assets with the support of US and allies is the most rational choices.

There is so many Soviet Union made equipment at the time, including more than 150 fighter aircraft (Mig 17, 19, 21 and so on), 24 Tu 16, 40 Il 28, not to mention those destroyer, Frigate, missiles boats and Submarine.

This already Made me sure, New Order government is actually not shy away from using and operating Soviet Union made equipment but they don't have much choice except for retired them early or sold them to the West because no money to retain them or severely lack of technical support from manufacturing country. As by 1990, the Navy actually still operated Whiskey class Submarine, by early mid 1970 there is some Skorry in active services , for Riga class there is at least some ship in active services by mid 1980 and by mid 1970 there is still some Beagle flying

Easy win for LM if F35 is permitted, but another F16V wouldnt be a bad choice, for workhorse.

Zero chance of F-35. After 42 Rafales, we should follow France path for the next gen fighter.

Btw, if we can't afford F-15EX, just get F-16 from the desert and upgrade them all to F-16V.

LM still lurking at the corner waiting to hit the afterburner, sneaky one ;)
Tho I dont think there are still room left in our fiscal budget for either of them. They prolly have to wait until new president step in. Its wiser to spend the rest of the fiscal budget into the armaments and readyness for now imho.
Pay IFX too
