Why is it called the "Rudal Kodok"

Seems there is two version of missiles, Kodok is ATGM, Merapi is Manpads

Don't let this estimation fool you.
It's true that theoretically ground based Amraam can cover that area, but at the edge of that circle AMRAAM's energy is already being spent out and its effectiveness drod significantly.
I hope we could get AMRAAM ER for sat rudal in the future and let C7 to be exclusively for Fighters.

Edit: and more batteries of course. Ehehe...

More importantly how will the target will be tracked. Ground based radar is limited in their range simply due to the curvature of Earth, not to mention the amount of tall buildings in Jakarta. Once a missile managed to crossed Jakarta Bay it will be point defence

Prefer to put AAW Frigates to be based at Jakarta Lanal, but talking about Kohanudnas from Air Force elements the other preference sites is in Atang or Halim Perdanakusuma

Deploying it at WIAJ mean the entire presidential office is expected to relocate to Istana Bogor in the event of shooting war coming from the north (not exactly a good option if you ask me). While deploying it at WIHH mean its intent for the protection of Cilangkap (which make better sense to me)

This data can be misleading. The more you fly obviously the more the operating cost. The better parameter is CPFH. You have to divide the total cost (operating + maintenance) with flight hours. So you can get the idea of the aircraft's efficiency.

Operational & Maintenance Cost is part of CPFH (Cost Per Flight Hour).

O & M (mostly Direct Cost) include:
  1. Fuel
  2. Technical Support
  3. Maintenance
  4. Crew
CPFH (Direct and Indirect cost) in summary:
  • Aviation Fuel
  • Consumable Supplies
  • Operation & Maintenance
  • Unit level Manpower
  • System Improvements
  • Capital Charges
  • Depreciation
  • Amortisation
Huge different between them, but O & M is part of CPFH.

CPFH usually count towards as parts of LCC (Life Cycle Cost).

LCC is basically all the cost related to purchasing the assets from innitial Planning until the cost to write them off/destroy them.

Also depends if they layered and integrated it with other GBAD assets.

If there's anything you can learn off the current Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, is that you need to have a capable and integrated air defense network that is supported by credible EW assets. Especially if you don't have the material to burn.
