Defence Minister Prabowo Subianto held a string of meetings with chiefs of staff from the Indonesian Military (TNI) earlier this week to discuss plans to modernise the country’s primary weaponry system.

April is the month where our Finance Minister will decide which programs that should be financed, she will short it out, which one should be funded and which ones which will not be funded. Same thing happen in last April. Planning Minister has approved around 20 billion USD defense acquisition program for 2020-2024 period ( backed by foreign and domestic loans ), you can check the video I posted in earlier page, it is already quite specific in term of what weapon should be bought and how much foreign and domestic loan will be needed, then Finance Minister will be the last one doing the screening in yearly basis until the year 2024.

About HMD for Rafale, actually French already testing Thales scorpion for it.

yeah, 1 thing or a small amount of thing maybe still can be understand, call that a mistakes and they should learn from it

For me if the Israeli one is better and we don't have to spend more money to integrate, so be it.

can't confirm which one is better, mostly JHMCS II used in 4 - 4.5++ gen fighter while Scorpion already used in F22
if they actually wanted the newest version of it, i think they'll chose HMDS from F35 which also developed by Elbit's

So we will finally get good idea on the firm picks for the fighter a/c plans?

The approved foreign loan by FM to finance MRCA acquisition is only 1.1 billion USD for 2020-2024 period. Prabowo has made attempt to increase the figure but so far hasnt been approved by Finance Minister, he then tried to use the available figure of 1.1 billion USD to buy Rafale and according to Alman Helvast ( based on his connection on Finance Ministry-something that is not unusual for former journalist to have such connection) our Finance Minister hasnt approved the allocation of 1.1 billion USD foreign loan to buy just 6 Rafale planes
