The operative term is "Multi-Domain". Here is a short video of it, hopefully it easy to digest

Although there are plenty of videos in Youtube from of US military establishment explaining in detail, but I deem such videos would be too long for most of you guys here, not to mention they have no subtitle translation thus making it more difficult for most of you guys here.
This multi domain connectedness are one of the US focus against their threats now, the so called "Near Peer Adversaries" (fancy term to called Russia, China). We must expect this as near future military things, DARPA and their God's budget will make it mature through JADC2.

*sorry for the hyperboles wkwk

So F-35 doesn't need specialized infrastructure then❓ No need of specialized infrastructure for these (video below)❓ ;

And also no need for loitering ammunition and unmanned system either❓ All its need is a good amount of prayer isn't❓

Which one is more expensive

Something like this :

or something like this :

My points was, the F-35 is a part of a system of a system. As the DARPA video clearly implying how the F-35 is use more as a Forward Controller rather than a standalone system. Investing in F-35 mean we also need to invest in other part of that system, including all their supporting infrastructures. I mean, for goodnes’s sake, we don't even have proper infrastructure for a major commercial data centre, and all of a sudden we're talking about operating F-35 ❓ that require similar ground infrastructure, but with additional redundancy and more complex
Is that why you reply my post with all of those videos???
might wanna read part of my (unmentioned) comment again
what part of my word that said that i was dreaming about the F35??

I hope you're still full of patient explaining F 35.

Well, most of the reader and public mindset consider F 35 not far different from F 16 because its a jet plane, single engie, and can fire missile.

, IMHO, one should know having F 35 without proper infrastrure can be analogue as having Luxury Ultra Speed Computer equiped by Ball mouse and CRT monitor, and the keyboard wether gone or broken.
yes it is, but not because they didn't know about all those capability can't be performed by the F35
but because they know that TNI / Indonesia don't have a capability to buy those things

it took us like what?? 3 years? 5 years?? just to know that old grandpa F5 Tiger need to be retired....
how many years to find and buy the right successor???
and i haven't mention the ground support and all those complicated things that some of us mentioned

The hacking that disable the chipset require immense "Suspension of Disbelief". That is NOT how cyber warfare work in real world.
Ya... that was too much. Turn off the fan would be more realistic, let that overheat wkwk. Or make the computer run thousands of programs at once or whatever..... let that burn

I'm suck at computer btw wkwk, I can't catch future job market demand.

Even Japan has a lot of criticisms from RAND.

Even Japan has a lot of criticisms from RAND.
Their doctrine is "self defence", only in the last 5 years or so they started to build "preemptive" strategy hints the conversion of the "not so called carrier" to host F35.
So its understandable how others see them. Building pre-emptive strategy in a way might distabilize region as other might see them more as a threat, it is one thing Japan is surely already put into their calculation.

In this era where long range and ballistic missiles are common things, the defence strategy must include those enemy warships/fighter jet to be put away from their effectice missiles range as far as possible thus making the preemptive strategy needed in most scenario. With this being said the importance of having military assets that can operate way beyond border/EEZ is very important. I guess this is why we are building frigate and try to land heavy fighters such as F15EX for long range capable mission.

F-16 will be more suitable (cost-efficient). Even USAAF tend to utilize their F-16 that way, unless there isn't any other option along the way.
