Yeah I remember @Madokafc and some others talking a bout the BEL radar before here.

There was some speculation (in media) about the DRDO AWACS project too getting some interest from Indonesia some time back. But seems to have dropped off since.

I think radars overall is interesting area for India and Indonesia to take forward.

India production capability is still taking time to mature (i.e to produce components steadily so cooperation with ToT etc becomes more feasible in larger projects with large countries like Indonesia).

There was recently an interview on some salient points of the relationship as they stand now:

It is a shocking crime tbh, that it could just happen to anyone randomly. Had an accident with TNI personnel? boom, you'll be thrown into the river for them to cover up the crime. The personnel themselves were idiotic, military guys are very well documented and the witnesses will easily recall the perpetrators' identity from the uniform and vehicles. Yet they stupidly think killing people and throwing them into the river to "erase evidence" is as easy as sweeping dust under the rug.

This will add to our long military record of abuses towards civilians. Something that is already very normal/normalized for a very long time.
