I dont know, other than feel lost to the crew, seeing Cakra lost her sister Nanggala make me struck by big sadness.

It isnt complete to see Krishna without Balarama, to see 401 sail without 402 on her side forever.

Thaks for all of your effort, all of your duty to this nation, through storm, and cold, may you rest in peace.

May all familly of the fallen given the streght.

"Sabar sampai akhir"

76 hours is only false hopes. Not only once, but two three statement said that subs location has been founded but at this time we still dont have any major update.

We are in sadness when tragedy happened, but in 1, 2 or even 1 year its forgotten like no happen, then repeat again

If i remember correctly, KASAL/P5 never said that the search party has found the exact location of 402, they only said either 'lokasi pencarian', 'titik/lokasi hilang kontak' etc

I received conflicting information. At least The Jakarta Post has reported that a side scan sonar has detected the submarine at 850 m depth, but there was no such information from the press conference.

Since it's still unclear, I didn't include the supposed finding in my article.

850 meter where the submarine reported being found have been reported by all major international TV news channel (CNN International, Al-Jazeera, and DW). Those three that I watched and I dont have access on BBC

May Allah accept the Shahids prayers and their fasts.

May Allah grant patience to the families. Especially at Ramadan.

Amin ya Rabbal Alamin

Let's locate where all debris come from:

- torpedo tube straighteners: torpedo room, front section.
- pipe insulator: could be from anywhere.
- periscope lubricant: conning tower, right above command room, middle section.
- prayer mats: crew's living quarters (?)
- heat insulator foam: engine room (?), rear section
- oil: oil tank (pretty close to engine room I think...)

Sadly we have to face a very BIG posibility that the whole compartment got imploded now.

RIP to the fallen.

German subs usually put crew living quarter in front section next or with torpedo room, next to crew living quarter is officer quarter, combat quarter, kitchen and lastly engine room.

Fuel located somewhere close to engine room.
Not much room in submarine, especially single decked sub like 209.

Am not an expert, lets wait for investigation. This news make me sad.

Yup, he is the only guy currently in Indonesian mainstream media that has good knowledge on defense (because CNN Indonesia employ him as defense specialist reporter). He is not just parroting on Navy press conference, but can explain some technical things based on his own knowledge.

I think i know who's this guy is, bang Iwan...He was once member of ARC (Angkasa Readers Community). I've met him long time ago (2005-2006) during regular ARC kopdar at University of Indonesia's "jungle". They were frequently does some "airsoft gun skirmish" at the weekends there.
