relax,

being our sailor and cadets as nation best sons and under the leadership of the glorious panglima with spirit of sapta marga, all of them can operate any ship system just after some on-hand familiarization in 1-2 initial cruise

this should be enough for annual parade sail around the country
Well, did i say anything about quality of the navy personnel? I suppose not.
I am not going into technical details for once for what is obvious.

They are rather expensive though for ship of her class

Is it because the economics of the production? (i mean buying a class of only two ships may also factor in to the high acquisition cost). Regardless, having multiple hulls with capability similar to REM as the bulk of our navy (with Iver and FREMM representing the high end capability of our surface combatant) is an idea worth to explore

No they are truly expensive aff but with limited size and endurance, and the Navy top Brass actually more prefer to use gun boat OPV as patrol ships (with AShM as option). For high end Frigates like Iver and FREMM they would be our hammer and high profil mission. More or less like the current Western European Navy style

You know, I've been wondering since our shipyards (both state-owned and private) already have the capability and capacity to build OPV up to 110 meters length, why do we still hear and read the news (or rumors?) that we're interested in buying foreign made OPVs?

I might be mistaken on this though, since I only wrote this based on some hazy memories. But if this is true, then the question still stands.

Just like i had said before, there is no eternal decision, only eternal interest and change of decision itself. Hopefully the contract for previous OPV resulted in satisfied results, in which can change their mindset.

Yes previously LBP said that we will buy OPV from Denmark, maybe this idea already scrapped.

There is still Wing Udara II and Wing Udara III still empty and doesn't have assets (especially WING Udara III) and they need assets to be operational
