too good to be true, also PAL and Thales are the contractor for this project so no way they would put up another radar beside thales.

but seeing from the early review, i can see that the proposed model is leaning toward Sylver for the VLS, will it be A50 with a combo of Aster 15 and 30

judging from it, i'm kind of hoping that these IH will become the baseline weapon package reference for our future FREMM

well since KCR-40 the design update and advancement have made little progress, i dont mean to underestimate the vessel designers in Indonesia and i know that the KCRs (both 40 and 60) are made from different shipyards but seems to me that they are just copypasting the design of SIGMA corvette and then adding the REM's design cues just to make it look more sleek and slopey while updating it here and there so as to ensure that it looks new

not to mention the choice of CODAD even though it is named as kapal CEPAT rudal

Yea, I do appreciate the effort to make KCR 60 better in each batch. This is where the govt must act and fill the gap, there is only slim chance that those shipyard has the budget or capability to design whole naval vesel thing. Our govt should bridge the gap and get all designer from shipyard+BPPT/LIPI+etc and do R&D to create certain type of navy vessel using APBN as source of fund then distribute the design freely for them to make certain section to advance their design and build skill. That 20% budget for education prolly going to be well spend if some can be allocated to this kind of system and not too much on overprice computer, laptop or crappy school building that only last no more then a year or so before the genteng starting to crumble....

It can perform as a ciws with simple configuration too but with limited capability.
It is all about how much can be spared to upgrade those.

well judging from the Long Range SAM, what else other than SM-2

the combo would either be Sylver A50 with with Aster 15 and Aster 30 or Mk-41 with SM2 and ESSM.....unless the Indonesian definition of LRSAM is for SAM with more than 25 km range, then it would be a different case altogether (even Aster 15 can be categorized as LRSAM if that's the case)

Umm, I'm no expert in radar thingy, but aren't both TRS-4D and Kronos have similar capablities? I mean, both are C-band radar... tho I don't know if TRS-4D able to track and guide Aster/MICA-series missile.

There are only few Sylver vls operator, itali and french using empar horizon class, and british sampson in their type 45.

why not upgunned it to a single 127mm

Cheaper ammo maybe, but personally would be good with 127 vulcano ammo like egyptian fremm which could boast range up to 100km
