No question, but most of us here as layman doesn't know what kind of agreement our Foreign Minister had signing off with her counterpart there? What kind of signatory level of agreement both countries had reach and without doubt there is must be conclusion happened there for them to giving such open statement with Retno Sumarsudi still in USA.

USN always have asset somewhere in South China Sea. It doesn't need to be a full fledge CSG, it can be an ESG, or even a single Virginia class boat.

Yup, the title is totally misleading, but that to be expected if we looking at the source. Australia got hit economically by Chinese Tariff tho strangely China is their biggest trading partner. From barley, wine, Coal and perhaps soon include their Iron & gas export. So they might be trying a little bit of propaganda. I dont know why they follow the US policy rather blindly and disregarding their own National interest. A good lesson for us to think about.

I agree, no need for FONOP. South Korea prefer not to join the caravan let alone be a member of quad, good pragmatic thinking imo as China is their biggest trading partner.

No need for that at this moment, lets not get caught in US & China games of world dominance. One particular fact we have to consider is China & US trade is increasing despite all those tariffs war. What does that tell us?
