The top one quite resembles a design provided by a european design office, once offered to Bulgaria under ' 90 meters OPV program ' then awarded to another JV.

The second one is literally copy of Sigma 9113, hope they are not really attempting to copy a design. Inspiration and plagiarism has a thin line between.

Procurement New Weapons for Marinir

According to Wakasal, a number of modern defense equipment that will strengthen the Marines' weaponry system include sniper weapons and drones or unmanned aircraft (UAV).''

In addition, Wakasal revealed, the Indonesian Navy is also exploring the procurement of individual weapons for special forces soldiers, namely the Jalamangkara Detachment (Denjaka) and Amphibious Intai (Taifib).

Heri further said that apart from buying advanced defense equipment for the Marine Corps, the Indonesian Navy is currently modernizing the weapon control system and aiming devices for two types of amphibious tanks owned by Russian marines, namely the BMP-3F and PT-76.

From the results of this modernization, the BMP-3F will be able to lock on 5 to 15 targets at once in the right or left position.

From these shots, the BMP-3F can fire automatically and in succession.

I'm assuming that SS Amphibious is one of those individual weapons that are being considered or currently being tested.

the points from this video are :
- MoD is asking revision for DRPPLN to Bappenas so in this year(before year's end) Bappenas can issue the third green book
- In this green book, MoD planned for ONE unit of Scorpene
- Next year if goes to plan, MoD hope DRPPLN got green light for TWO units of Scorpene
- MoD's plan is for at least SIX units of Scorpene
- The chance for Type 214 is still open

Interim SUB program to get readily available submarine, but this time the negotiation is on hold....
So thats it.

You guys still remember this one? Wonder what happened to this plan (and money). It was fun discussion back then.

"The Indonesian Ministry of Finance (MoF) has granted approval for the country to obtain up to USD600 million in foreign loans to procure at least one second-hand submarine for the Indonesian Navy (Tentara Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Laut: TNI-AL)."

The guy said Scorpene or Type 214 will cost us a lot more than $600 mil.

Can't imagine how huge Suryo or Taigei would cost.

With the nature of Mr 08 and track record of his buying list so far, i am not surprise at all if he want the best variant of Submarine from those two maker can be offered to Indonesia, a non aligned country. So price tag of more than 600 million US Dollar per piece is not wonder at all.

The 47 troops immediately attended a briefing and division of tasks for the implementation of the 2022 Ausindo Amphibious Assoult Join Exercise (AAJEX) at Todak Dabo Singkep Beach, tomorrow morning (20/11).

Later ADF troops will disembark from the KRI Banjarmasin-592 ship, while personnel from the Indonesian Navy will disembark from the HMAS Adelaide Ship at Todak Dabo Singkep Beach.

How does the Scorpene compare in capability to German subs like the Type 214? I remember reading an article a while back from a South Korean navy officer about the South Korean submarine program He said that when South Korea did their evaluation many decades ago they went with the German sub partly becasue it was quieter.

Also does it really make sense to switch from German to French subs? The South Korean submarine program was very impressive as they stuck with German subs and gradually absorbed the technological know how until they were able to design and build their own subs.
