I could see Lunyang Lovers
lately they were rather pretty secretive regarding the customer, are those per by customer request not to mentioned who bought the systems ?Well i am suspected this deal is also for Indonesian Navy
they had all the resources and money yet it's feels like they've got a curse that hinder their defence program, take a look at their submarine program that are still "luntang lantung", i guess it has something to do with their current admin, the previous regime hobart and F-35 program are going well. Not related to ALRI,
Seems like our southern neighbour wants a BAE destroyer.
Hopefully next years MoD could acquire ddg for ALRI (not the PRC origin).

Maybe it would be the same with type 55 or larger. One can only imagine the real size of the T83 once built. Consider the Type 26 'frigate' is as large as a Burke destroyer.
Otoh, Indonesia even when the FREMM and Arrows are inducted will once again lacking in the size (and prolly punch) of its surface ship compared to their contemporary navies.
ALRI still lacking many more, RAN 208 missile cells in 2020.Detailing this truly terrifying state of naval firepower, former Chief of Navy, Vice Admiral (Ret’d) David Shackleton explains, “In 1995, the Royal Australian Navy possessed 368 missile cells on its major surface combatants. By 2020, that had reduced to 208, a 43 per cent reduction in firepower. It will take until 2045 for the Navy to get back up to its 1995 capacity. From 2050, it will plateau at 432, a net increase of 64 cells.”
......
208 missile cells from 3 AWDs and 8 ANZACs. Still a whole lot more than us with 72 cells and only 24 cells in the Sigma is fitted.Maybe it would be the same with type 55.

With ALRI "gado gado" VLS , sylver, mica, mk41/MIDLAS, wkwk208 missile cells from 3 AWDs and 8 ANZACs. Still a whole lot more than us with 72 cells and only 24 cells in the Sigma is fitted.
Even if all plan regarding the 2 AH140 and 6 FREMM (with 16 VLS) we have like 248 cells on the whole fleet combined . Absolutely tiny compared to major navies in Pacific theater at that timeframe (late 20s, early 30s).
I think Korea offered (ID/PH)? a submarine model that is bigger than nagapasa class and it is equipped with TAS.oh also, if you wondering, do we have TAS?, No, we don't have Towed Array Sonar -TAS-, because, there is no much room unless we modified the sub
uhm guys, i think i made a mistake, and i would like to apologize for it, i'm sorry for the wrong information i shared to you, i just realized it when i saw this photosHOW ON EARTH WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO FIT THOSE TORPEDOES ON THE TORPEDO ROOM
So here comes my conclusion, The Torpedo Room, is just a Torpedo Room, uses for controlling, checking the torpedo tubes and other stuff, NOT a Torpedo Storage Room.
TRUE that this sub can carry 8 Torpedoes, because they will be fitted to the 8 Torpedo Tubes available, but not so much for the rest of 6 Spare Torpedoes
that is somewhat intimidating yet the marines kinda like itPasmar 3 Marine corps distributed gifts to civilian by carrying the stuff with BTR 50 View attachment 58147 View attachment 58148 View attachment 58149
Torpedo storage 101, you may see old u-boats for the reference (or simply visit the submarine museum in Surabaya). Torpedo room is where torpedo tubes are accessed within the hull (the most forward compartment), the same spot is also used for beds or sometimes recreational purposes. Depending on submarine's available space, additional torpedoes stored there sometimes on racks, sometimes below the deck. The additional numbers do not exceed number of torpedo tubes (in general practice). This comes with a cost, it is a tedious procedure to transfer these inconveniently stored torpedoes into the tubes, regardles of crew experience it takes a long time and a lot of effort.uhm guys, i think i made a mistake, and i would like to apologize for it, i'm sorry for the wrong information i shared to you, i just realized it when i saw this photos View attachment 58141
this room is way more spacious than this
View attachment 58142
This indicates that there is room enough to store the 6 meter long Torpedo
As the cutaway illustrated it View attachment 58143
Explanation :
1. The Crew Compartment, especially the bunk and the closet as shown on the picture when the crew do the prayer (is the left side of the ship) is side by side with the more spacious room intended for torpedo storage
2. The submarine has 2 similar layout Bunk (as shown in the cutaway) which is looked like this View attachment 58144

can complement about 12-16 crew can do the recess while the other is doing their shift. This kind of layout is enough for the 32+ crew onboard as they all don't need to have their own 32 bunk because half or 2/3 of them is on their shift
This explanation is perfectly match the specification.
Once again, i do apologies, Thankyou

Larger submarines (scorpene) have dedicated torpedo storage room, which has automated torpedo transfer system, if not automated a manual system, that allows transfer of conveniently stored torpedoes from rack to tubes without dismantling anything above the deck. Newer submarines have automated systems with identifiable torpedo type that makes selection and transfer as easy as some clicks.
