Pindad Signs MOU with Saudi Arabia to Supply Weapons
PT Pindad signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Saudi Arabian Military Industries Defense Systems (SAMI DS), a Saudi Arabian defense industry, during the World Defense Show 2026 on February 9, 2026, at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The signing of this agreement was carried out by PT Pindad's President Director, Sigit P. Santosa, and SAMI Defence Systems' General Manager, Mansour Qaed Alharbi. The event was also attended by PT Pindad's Production Director, Hera Rosmiati; the General Manager of the Weapons Division, Arif Puji Santoso; and the Export Manager, Samuel Zefanya.
This event demonstrated the robustness of PT Pindad's products, which had previously undergone a series of tests in Saudi Arabia throughout 2024-2025. The signing of this MoA marks an important step for PT Pindad, as an Indonesian defense industry player, in its efforts to become part of the global supply chain.
For the first time, PT Pindad has been entrusted to supply weapons and is involved in the utilization of production facilities and technology transfer to support the Saudi Vision 2030 program. This collaboration opens up opportunities for PT Pindad's weapons products to be produced and developed outside Indonesia while strengthening the country's diplomacy.
