I was looking at FNSS at an Exhibition but came across a Company named "GES Mühendislik" because they linked FNSS, implying some sort of collaboration.
They mainly produce Masts for Baykar and Aselsan.

There are plenty other construction by different shipyards for different customers especially from the Scandinavia, but this order stands out so i brought it here.

The others include e-ferries with all electric propulsion, new generation of ferries, electric tugs, green tugs, fish stock carrier, fish farm support vessel and other kind of support vessels ordered from Ada shipyard, Tersan shipyard, Sefine shipyard, Sedef Shipyard and some others.

This is a good capabilit gain, i have told months ago TR is interested in research ship for arctic missions. Working with Russian Lloyd, the one with the most experience in the arctic-class ships is important for this case.

Now only one equation remains to be solved, who will operate the vessel? ERV Nene Hatun ( a ship under command of coastal safety division in Maritime ministry ) was considered among options in earlier arctic missions but later they have chartered another expedition vessel from Chile.
- DzKK with the most experience on sailing? (Less likely if Russians are hopping in, they might prefer DNV but unsure if any shipyard ever worked with DNV for arctic class ships)
- Coastal safety division of the maritime ministry, as in the earlier plan in cooperation with Navy personnel?
- Technology ministry as being major supporter of the arctic missions and overseeing Tubitak where arctic research center located in?

Turkey's geography lures Japanese electronics contractor Kaga​

Japanese semiconductor trading house Kaga Electronics will build a new Turkish factory, shifting a portion of the production of printed circuit boards from China and Southeast Asia.

The company already manufactures parts for air conditioners on a contract basis in Turkey, but the facility is running at full capacity. The new plant will produce the circuit boards and assemble parts on them as the customer requests.

The new plant is expected to come online in 2022 and to be consolidated with the existing facility.


Kaga hopes to leverage Turkey's strategic location and expand orders from the Middle East and Europe. It will help diversify the company's production away from Asia, where supply chain disruptions have become a risk.

The investment will be millions of dollars, with production capacity to be raised gradually, according to company sources.

Previously, the company had produced the circuit boards in Asia and assembled parts closer to the customers. But faced with difficulties securing maritime shipping and supply chain disruption in Asia, clients had asked Kaga to consolidate its production line and increase predictability in lead time.

Turkey is home to many manufacturers that cater to the Middle Eastern and European markets. Kaga hopes to leverage its new production base to win orders related to auto-related parts as well.

Kaga's Turkey operations amount to around 1 billion yen ($8.7 million) in sales. The company hopes to triple that scale in three or four years.
