You can rest assured that there will more nuclear power plants after these. Most likely, these will be of Turkish designed based on the knowledge gained by these first reactors. The reason why we went with 3 differnt designs was to gain as much experience as possible since no one will give/sell you any knowlege on nuclear power plants. A single design would have been far cheaper and faster if the goal was just to get energy.

The end goal is to design and built NPP but we are talking about 20-40 year plans here.
I sincerely hope they will be SMR's

Good news regarding the sanctions, if true.

And I dont want to be a downer, but you dont learn how to build any size nuclear reactors within a couple of years and watching one construction site. We need to liberalize the renewable market, make it more attractive for companies to invest in PV. Its cheaper, faster and the money comes from investors.

Istanbul and THY will profit from flights to Asia that not longer can cross Russia. The Gulf states will probably profit too.

Further Information

"We are proud to announce that we will implement Turkey's first energy storage facility to be connected to the national grid. As Progresiva Enerji Yatirimlari A.S., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kontrolmatik Technologies, we have obtained the energy supply license in order to trade electrical energy and capacity for 20 years which provided by the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority for our lithium-ion energy storage facility with 1,000 MW-hours of energy storage capacity that will contribute to energy supply security and the development of alternative energy systems.

Our Lithium-Ion Energy Storage Facility, which will be the first and pioneer in Turkey and one of the few applications in the world, will have 250 MW of connection power and 1000 MW-hour total energy storage capacity while it will be established in Silivri/Istanbul.

The Lithium-Ion Energy Storage Facility, which will be connected to the national grid via a 400 kV GIS Substation, will have a storage capacity of 1000 MW-hours with a total of 4 hours of storage.
Meanwhile, this facility will be able to either supply energy to the grid with a maximum capacity of 250 MW instantly or making storage from the system into the battery group."

As we always say, whoever controls technology controls the future.

Huge news. Koç Holding, Ford Motor, and SK Innovation are setting up a huge battery plant in Ankara. The battery plant will start mass production in 2025 with a capacity of 30 to 45-gigawatt hours which will be enough to power 500k to 750k EVs per year

By 2025 local battery production will be enough to power over 1 million EVs per year.

The more the merrier. Initiatives like TOGG are necessary but not enough to turn Turkiye into big EV power. We need to export millions of EVs TOGG alone can't achieve this.

At the end we want to make what is kept at home big rather than working for someone elses wealth.

So let's kick every company that invested in Türkiye. Spoken like a true commie.
See what other countries are doing.
How many foreign car companies are there in Japan, Korea, Germany, France, USA and other major car maker countries. You don't want your market to be taken by foreign companies. I don't.

Ford Otosan is 40% Koc, 40% Ford and 20% free float.
Ford Otosan has also bough Ford Romania and its plant. It is one of the biggest players in its market.

This is easy to handle comrade Zafer. Ban all foreign companies from your market voila no one can enter your market anymore.

This is up to companies who want to invest. I don't think these countries are not allowing others to make investment.
For example, if it was profitable for Ford to open a factory in France, we would see it.
