China is having an energy crisis.

"In recent days, factories in 20 of China’s 31 provinces have suffered a loss of power, forcing many to shut down production, at least for hours at a time. Millions of households in the north-east of the country have also lost power and found that they cannot use electricity to heat or light their homes."

This has much to do with China strict emission restriction laws. As for millions of home are out of power, that's pure bullshit.

USA is numero uno in 2021. But the trend points to one fact. China is rising fast and will pip USA by 2031. Nobody can doubt that this century will see emergence of China as a hyperpower. USA will remain a superpower. But Chinese economic prowess and population size will hurtle that country to another level that probably would deserve a new category of superpower plus - thus hyperpower.

In a historical context is is just reverting to the status quo that existed for thousand years. USA as superpower is just a historical aberration.

Without China's manufactured products, US medical workers had to wear trash bags fighting the pandemic. A military without robust manufacturing industries is not sustainable, now the only thing US is good at is printing dollars, now their government is on the brink of bankrupcy.

imo, there's only one country ever that had a hyperpower status, that is the USA right after the end of the cold war. Basically the US and it's European and Japanese allies have the single largest chunk fg the world economic, diplomatic and military power and it stays that way until at least 2010 when China rises to the giant we know today.

But not for long, the US is a more dynamic economy with higher GDP/capita, it's population are young and vibrant, it continues to attract talents from abroad. and its economy are consumer and service based not manufacturing, which is more sustainable.

China otoh, its populations getting grey faster than any other countries on earth, internationally it's getting significant pushback and increasingly isolated and it's economic growth are slowing at a very rapid pace.

China is actually concerned that they will grow old before being rich.

Okay. USA will remain top dog now for eternity I guess breaking the historical truism that all great powers rise and then subside.
the US is what the Romans were during the ancient times. Sure competitors rise and challenged their dominance, from Carthage, Persia, Huns etc. But the Romans lasted longer than their foes.

anyway what makes you so sure China will be a hyperpower?? do you know what is a hyperpower actually means ?? or you're just being hyperbolic ?? Have you actually done some research to back your claim ??

China has a massive base population and the country never failed to produce a big population in the history, and also there are over 100 million overseas Chinese who can be easily naturalised and rejoin China. The true demographic problem is US, which is not bonded by blood and ethnicity, it lacks the fundimental cohesive glue to bond a nation together, in 15 years, US will become a non white predominant country.

If you mean if I have read papers driven by American, Indian or their proxies telling us USA will remain at the top until the earth perishes the answer is a firm no. And have you done any research that tells us USA will last at the top until time runs out?

Ps. I am 58 years old amd I still remember like yesterday my history teacher telling us about famine afflicted China and death of Mao in 1976. I have a vivid memory of the slide he used showing Beijing with bikes everywhere and not a car in sight. Last year my son spent three months in China as part of a university exchange programme in Shanghai. He got to see China and it's potential. He also has been to USA as well.

This 1.4B pop you're boasting is a double edged sword, if they're young and vibrant they're a boost to the economy, if they're old they're a burden to the state. Now we all know that China is greying faster than any other countries on earth.

this decade could be what Japan's 90s lost decade for China.

and as for the overseas Chinese, you should ask yourself why are these Chinese going all the way to study, stay and work in the US and contribute there instead of China ?? the US is like a blackhole that continue to such the best and the most talented on earth, hence they'll stay in the lead. oridnary Chinese doesn't care about patriotism, they'll tend to go where the money is.

Why are there even a birth tourism for Chinese nationals in the US ??

Actually most overseas Chinese live in south eastern Asian countries, not US. Many of them lived in those countries for many generations, now China is getting richer and more developed, many of them started to move back, people go after money and opportunities.

Many western scholars have been predicting "China's imminet collapse" for at least 4 decades, and we all know what really happened during the past 4 decades.
