When i put emotion completely aside there has been nothing wise about Turkey turning Isreal into an open and hostile enemy. Russia, Greece, South Cyprus, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Armenia, France, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf states are just some of Turkeys immediate enemies. To make matters worse the USA and EU don't make things easy for us, to the contrary where they can attack Turkey they do.
