It is kinda ironic that the Hamas attack is only 1 day after October 6th which is the day in which the Egyptian army managed to cross and break the so-called impregnable Israeli defences and liberate Sinai penninsula in 1973 as far as I remember

Hamas planned a lot for this attack, that much is clear. Though, there is a 80% possibility that they will lose in the end since the Israeli Armed forces arent that weak
Lose in a sense of loss of land, probably. But, the absorption of Gaza back to Israel meant that there would be no clear line between the Palestinian and Israeli. No longer you have a clear concrete line, you now have an imaginary line.

In the case of Afghanistan in 2001, the loss of Kabul didn't mean the collapse of fighting by the Taliban, it merely transformed from a fighting with a clear frontline into a war of attrition with an imaginary line. Recently it si also demostrated that the loss of Raqqa and Mosul doesn't stop ISIS from fighting either. They merely adapt.

So HAMAS should've planned for this kind of contingency. What if Gaza is no longer able to be defended ? Should they build operational bases for urban guerillas deep inside Israel, retreat to the Sinai ? or even establish bases in the desert of Jordan and S.Arabia. That will be up to the HAMAS, but then again guerilla groups are proven capable of executing the damage needed to keep the war in flame for a very long time.

Just like how 20 years in Afghanistan is enough for the world's geopolitics to change considerably back to the Taliban, HAMAS needs to plan for a long war until the geopolitical situation in the world reverses to their benefit.

I think he might not have the power to do so.
I think the tension between Netanyahu and the liberals will grow further in the medium term. Netanyahu will want to revoke the independence of the judiciary. And he will scythe their authority. In this case, liberals will either emigrate or revolt. There is no other way left. Hamas will accelerate the radicalization of Israel with today's operation. This will consume Israel from within. Now they have only one goal left. To ensure that invading civilians in the region migrate from the region. They can achieve this by making the region the center of war and ending peace in daily life.

So, did they just surrender or run out of ammo?

Probably the latter. I don’t think Hamas has the ability to supply forward units. Heck, I think even Hamas is surprised how easy of an walkover the israeli terrorist were.

anyhow, their release is secured given the number of POW

Yes. The discrepancy between Hamas's power and Israel's power would make impossible for Israelis to compromise. What this attack has achieved is giving the legitimacy of one-state Israel to Natenyahu. Palestine cannot get any sympathy after those videos that are posted online. He(Natenyahu) will ram through any resistance he face, be it the opposition at home or the enemy in the north.
Yes. Israel's has one of the most advanced and capable Air Forces in the world. Hamas has no defence against that. This attack just gives Israel free reign to carry out air strikes and level any building they want.

It would be great if you could share some details about the latest situation that is not covered in the international media. For example, are militants resisting in Israeli settlements, how many towns are not under IDF control? The IDF must surely be planning a sweeping operation, is there any news on this, a few hours ago there was a news report that the army reserves were given mobilization orders.
No town was captured they just entered some buildings in Sderot and Ofakim. Currently one or several Hamas terrorists holding a family hostage in Ofakim.

Very unfortunate thing that there was a huge hippie party in open field right near Gaza when all this started dozens were killed and hijacked.

Some small settlements right near Gaza are not cleared yet.

The Gaza Strip has become the Gaza pocket. But the question is, will they be able to hold this area?
They never hold that area. Just point infiltrations.

Everybody has their own propaganda. Or perhaps these militants are of a mixed backgrounds. Some started shooting at civilians in the streets and some didn’t.

Expecting some vicious air strikes by the Israelis in response. A large amount of the $8 Billion usd aid package from USA 🇺🇸 is going to be air ordinance. Expecting an enormous volume of air strikes and several thousand dead Palestinians over the coming days. It's going to be bloody over there... Damn.

F-16 fighters and Apache helos are going to be raining hell down in the coming days. Best of luck to everyone in the region.

Iran EW ?

Probably. the israeli soldiers seems to be in complete disarray. Hamas rockets are also hitting extensively. Iron dome has somehow also been taken out of the equation.
