Why do you think we are developing and building Balistic Missiles Short -> Medium/Long Range? For conventional warheads? Certainly not. Preparatory work has been underway for several years for a future scenario.

Furthermore, ballistic missiles with conventional warheads are extremely inefficient, expensive, and very inaccurate. That's why there are tactical and strategic nuclear warheads that compensate for this imbalance in these weapon systems.

Yes, but they are only accurate to a certain extent, and yes, Baltic missiles can be made more accurate with better control mechanisms and sensors, but the cost-benefit ratio is absolutely negative, even in a war. Cruise missiles, drones with glide bombs, and hypersonic missiles are much more efficient. So if you plan to have 100% non-nuclear War Doctrin, ballistic missiles make little sense.

Iran launched a medium-range ballistic missile, probably the Khorramshahr-4, aka Kheibar, towards Israel tonight.

Only 1 missile was apparently launched.

This missile can hit targets up to 2,000 kilometers away and can carry a 1,500 kilogram warhead.

The missile uses hypergolic liquid fuel, which allows for rapid launch preparation (~12 minutes). It reaches speeds of Mach 16 outside the atmosphere and Mach 8 inside the atmosphere.


Iran fired a ballistic missile capable of carrying a 1.5-ton warhead at Israel just to intimidate. With this missile, you can easily destroy an air base with its fighter jets. Or you can disintegrate a neighborhood with a population of 40-50 thousand into molecules.

You cannot even imagine the destruction that 10 of these would create in Tel Aviv or Haifa. If the US has bombers, Iran has ballistic missiles. And this will not change.

no doubts there are certain benefits Ukraine has had from being supported economically and politically from much of the west. But at the same time their taking on a massive enemy and their state likewise had no airforce or navy.

However, the mindset is completely different. The Iranians are behaving as if they have already lost this war. Its been what 5 or 6 days of Isreali airstrikes and their already mentally broken.

If the Iranian people were truly willing to fight this war, even if the Americans got involved and started bombing them they will not be able to defeat a nation of 90 million people.

Truth be told Iranians should be willing to sustain millions of casualties before they start even thinking about defeat. Not after a few days of Isreali strikes.
