So whats the US strategy here? Because they have 0 strategy as far as I see, completely headless.

All they are doing is destroying the world economy, prices of oil shooting into the sky, with them all other things will go up, inflation will rise etc...

I mean if they actually had a plan to remove this Iranian regime fine, but they have absolutely 0 plan, they are just bombing Iran and probably won't bomb for much more since Trump said the "mission" is close to being over.

Iranian regime still going strong with the new leader (son)... sure the balistic missile threat will be very much lesser but Iran will just build more drones and missiles and be in the same spot as they were before... not like I expected much from Trump anyway.. what a dumbass.

well the Iranians are claiming so, and the neutral wording in Mr. Fidan's statements hints at him agreeing. Iran is saturated with CIA/Mossad operatives.

so you think Israel managed to sneak in drones and ballistic missile inside Iran to launch them against Cyprus, Turkey and Azerbaijan as a false flag operation?

more like Iranian government has no control or knowledge what IRGC is doing

The possibility would be that infiltrated elements within the IRGC would have sent those out. I'd agree with your point though somewhat:

yeah im not too sure about the false flag claim myself, i dont think they know what happened. Just speaking to what might be the current mutually accepted "version" of the truth for diplomatic purposes.

It was same like siding with Israel.
Why should Iran provoke NATO Art. 5?
If so, why would Iran end up firing a ballistic missile for second time, from the exact same airbase they have fired the earlier one, and both of these missiles 'accidentally' aiming at the same spot?

They are just flexing TR's patience at this point and bragging about how TR doesn't fire back.

They can't dare to fire a salvo and openly declare war with TR, they can't dare to trigger NATO article 5. All they do is being a loser, firing a missile and bragging about it.

False Flag?
Several scenarios are possible:

1. False flag. That is, some third party is launching missiles toward Turkey to draw it into a war with Iran. There could be many interested parties—the United States, Israel, and even Russia. But here's the problem: where did this third party get an Iranian missile? After all, it is an Iranian missile.

Therefore, this theory can be ruled out.

2. Unified command has been lost in Iran, and low-level commanders have seized the initiative "on the ground."

3. The missiles were fired by forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), targeting Incirlik.

The latter theory seems more plausible.

Erdogan made a statement to Tehran on this matter yesterday. It can be assumed that he has full information.

Sorry, but rogue elements in Iran with enough access could do it. Also I would not rule out that Israel and others has moles in Iran and possible high enough in the hierarchy to pull it off.

I'd keep my guard up and deploy AD systems and other systems to try catch any additional launches.

It's quite pathetic how our government doesn't have AD systems in place and rely on NATO.

In his press conference Trump answers that this will be over "very soon" in response to a question. I can see that the US may soon have more or less destroyed Iran's defensive capability. I don't see Iran's offensive capability through drones being destroyed. When the US declares that the war is over I fear it may be over as far as the US is concerned but not as far as the regime and IRGC are concerned.

That is same as Russia-Ukriane, if Russia say they had destroyed the Ukriane millitary capability, what would you think? Even there has been 4 years from the beginning of the war.
If US decided to end their 'special military operation', I would not feel surperise, that is a clever action, the more clever things is not to make it happen.

Footage shows Iranian air defenses of unknown types striking Israeli Hermes-900 heavy UAVs near Tehran and an American MQ-9 Reaper UAV over Bushehr. Other shots of these drones being shot down in Iran are also shown. To date, 11 American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and attack UAVs have been lost, according to CBS News, citing two US officials. Experts estimate the cost of each MQ-9 Reaper UAV to be approximately $30 million.

Given the general carelessness I observed in Iran during peacetime, anything is possible. Otherwise, how could enemy agents, in groups of two or three, assassinate ten high-ranking generals right in their beds in just 10 minutes, aiming Spike anti-tank missiles directly at their bedroom windows or at ballistic missile launchers?
I know the Iranians a little, so I think anything is possible.

There is a fraction in Iran who hates the Mullahs to the bones. They want to rather see Iran burning than in the hands of Mullahs. These fraction could try to drag Türkiye in to the war. Maybe.

One can be of course against US-Israel attacks against Iran, but the way some people act, going as far as to deny their own ministries, is amazing to me. This is done even on television.

Good job being unpaid propagandists of Iran.

This is the same Iran and IRGC that commited a genocide against Syrian civilians. And all the while hiding behind the guise of Shia Islam. Did Imam Husayn ibn Ali gave these charlatans the right to use his name while massacring Arab civilians? Is it not in fact a sin? How can you look at Hasan ibn Ali, and say that these charlatans represent him? And some brain dead people in Turkey even support them acquiring nuclear capability.

Their transgressions are not in doubt, but I think from a strategic point of view it is valuable to have a stable and sturdy Iran.

If Iran were to fall the next in line would be Turkey, and Pakistan. We need to make sure that sequence is frozen, and keep in mind that the Jews will never rest in the pursuit of Greater Israel.

They have assumed the mantle of being Israel's primary antagonist, and we should value the breathing space that generates.
