Sorry, but rogue elements in Iran with enough access could do it. Also I would not rule out that Israel and others has moles in Iran and possible high enough in the hierarchy to pull it off.

I'd keep my guard up and deploy AD systems and other systems to try catch any additional launches.

It's quite pathetic how our government doesn't have AD systems in place and rely on NATO.

In his press conference Trump answers that this will be over "very soon" in response to a question. I can see that the US may soon have more or less destroyed Iran's defensive capability. I don't see Iran's offensive capability through drones being destroyed. When the US declares that the war is over I fear it may be over as far as the US is concerned but not as far as the regime and IRGC are concerned.

That is same as Russia-Ukriane, if Russia say they had destroyed the Ukriane millitary capability, what would you think? Even there has been 4 years from the beginning of the war.
If US decided to end their 'special military operation', I would not feel surperise, that is a clever action, the more clever things is not to make it happen.
