Exactly. And countries like Iran are willing to pay a price that American democracy will not tolerate.

Iranians may be killed by the thousands and they will continue fighting. In the US, we will have midterm elections this year and coffins with the American flag will be a disaster for Trump.

Furthermore, control of the Strait of Hormuz is causing damage to American investors; lobbying pressure will be strong against Donald.

Russia and China militarily support Iran through technology exchanges (intelligence, radars, missiles, etc.).
Many countries are supporting Iran "behind the scenes." However, no one wants to officially commit because this war has the potential to escalate significantly, so there is a lot of caution.
By the way, this war is not "against Iran." In a macro analysis, it is an American movement against the Chinese and everything that Iran represents (key country in the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative, oil reserves, geographically well-located, etc.). I don't believe in this theory that Bibi influences the US; the tail doesn't wag the dog.
