US Central Command announced that the United States will begin a naval blockade of all vessels entering or leaving Iranian ports on April 13 at 10:00 a.m. ET.

Continuation of the bombing is unlikely due to the risk of further destabilization of the region and the US president's reluctance to become involved in protracted military conflicts.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump may also impose a temporary blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, while simultaneously pressuring allies to implement a long-term military escort mission through this seaway.

Brent crude futures for June delivery jumped 7.8% in early trading on April 13, reaching $102.60 per barrel, according to data from the London-based ICE Futures exchange.

So now we wait for US ships to start sinking in the SoH...?

Which ally did US lose so far? I don't see any. All Arab countries are interested in weakening Iran, they just afraid to say that openly.
What other allies, besides Israel, did you see alongside the United States during the 40-day war? Didn't you see Britain's reaction to Washington's request to send its fleet to clear mines in the Strait of Hormuz? Don't you see how the rest of Europe, led by Germany, either refuses to join the United States and Israel or simply remains silent? Do you know how many weeks ago Charles de Gaulle began his "decisive" campaign in the Middle East, and where is he now? A whole month passed, but the brave French still hadn't reached the battlefield🙂.
Didn't the United States' European "allies" close their airspace?

There's no point in listing them all. Where are the Japanese and Korean fleets? They're nowhere near the United States either. Italy, Spain, Canada...

The only exception is Estonia🙄, which offered its assistance to the United States. Well, that's not serious...
And then there's Uganda, whose Chief of the General Staff promises, if necessary, to take Tehran in a week with his 500,000-strong army 🙂
Clearly, the US and Israel are left alone.

In this sense, in my opinion, the situation will only get worse.

I think it's interesting that China didn't do more to protect their oil supplier, but perhaps it's because it was not important enough.

I mean China could build bases with radar and warning systems in Venzuela, if sending a Frigate of two with AAW capabilities aren't good enough. (especially considering US base in Okinawa and in the region).
China been preparing for this scenario for decades. Maybe deep down they wanted something like this so they can justifiy so much of their green energy investments and EV.
Not saying they're immune to this chaos , but they'll be able to overcome it long-term no doubt.

And like we saw with Venezuela , the Chinese seem to not really back their "allies" or "strategic partners", which is why I laugh at the claims how BRICs will do this and that like some people claim.

Their only focus is South China Sea and Taiwan it seems.

How dare you call it piracy? 🤬 😡 🤬 😡 🤬 😡
Its only piracy when others do it,the US can do whatever it wants, its love!!! 😂 😂 😂
Port blockade is a legal act of warfare.

What Iran is doing - attacking random ships passing through straight and asking ransom money is 100% piracy

They refuse to do anything when Russia openly threatening them. What do you expect to do them against Iran? And I don't think they are capable to do anything even if they were willing.

Arab countries gave US and Israel free passage through their airspace to bomb Iran.

Because "Arab countries gave US and Israel free passage through their airspace to bomb Iran", I guess.
Iran must officially declare a naval blockade against a specific county ports. But saying we let pass ships we like and don't let we dislike, we take money for the passage is an act of piracy.

San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea, 12 June 1994

SECTION II : METHODS OF WARFARE

Blockade

93. A blockade shall be declared and notified to all belligerents and neutral States.
94. The declaration shall specify the commencement, duration, location, and extent of the blockade and the period within which vessels of neutral States may leave the blockaded coastline.

I just love this guy tbh
Hakan Fidan knows how the game is played really well
He knows how Israel operates at the very least. He knows that Israel's lust for power, territory and blood wont stop at Iran but will sooner or later spread to Lebanon and Syria followed by Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey
It does him justice that he was the previous head of MIT

US Central Command released footage of strikes on Iranian military equipment from March and April. The videos were filmed before the US-Iran ceasefire was announced. The videos show US strikes on an Iranian 2K12 Kub air defense system, presumably a Chengdu J-7 fighter jet, Shahed and Arash drone launchers, ballistic missile launchers, boats, and other Iranian military equipment.

The Telegraph deletes story falsely claiming Erdogan threatened to invade Israel

The Daily Telegraph has deleted a false story headlined "Erdogan threatens to invade Israel" which appears to have been based on statements the Turkish president made two years ago, taken out of context.

The British newspaper reported in a news article on Sunday that Erdogan accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanayhu of being "blinded by blood and hate" over Israel's bombing of southern Lebanon.

The Telegraph said that Erdogan warned Turkey could act militarily "just as we entered Libya and Karabakh" and that there was "nothing to prevent us doing it".

The newspaper further reported that Erdogan said there was "no reason" not to attack.

In reality the quotes came from remarks Erdogan made in July 2024 in a local meeting of the ruling AK Party in the Turkish coastal city of Rize.

THE SAME FALSE NEWS APPEARS IN GERMAN MEDIA in FOCUS ONLINE, MSN etc.....NOT TRANSLATING AS IT STATES THE ABOVE.
