It was ASFAT producing the Firtina for $4.2mln. Now they do not even tell at what amount BMC is producing the Firtina, why? It has suddenly become a secret?

Same factory, same personnel is producing it under BMC. Can any of you with straight face tell the price is nearly the same or with some extra's of Firtina 2 say $5.2 million or something? Is Ethem keeping mum there?

You all know that a lot of things simply stink there, but your partizan stance does not allow you to recon even an ongoing robbery. They also rob from you!
It is certain that it doesn't steal more than Otokar

Oh stealing is OK as long as it is not more than Otokar.

and than we ask what is wrong with this country, with this mentality we simply deserve it.

Theft is of course a problem. But I didn't see that anyone was talking about Otokar's plans. Bad the bmc make theft. If the otokar makes theft, no problem. You say so?

I guess you have forgotten that BMC entered the Tank Tender with Germans. When Erdogan drop the tender price to 3.5 billion euros, the Germans said they will not produce tank for free. And they were withdrawn from the tender. It is an imaginary assertion that the Germans do not trust BMC.
Wrong!

Rheinmetal choose a partner with no experience, no knowledge and to less employees or engineers to build anything than a tank. What could a Professional tank maker gain from a Bus maker like BMC without any mean?

I had to clean up some of the posts here.
It seems some of you haven't grasped the forum rules yet or you are doing it knowingly, which is worse!
Next violations will result in warnings.
Please take it easy and refrain from name-calling.

Tank business is a strategic business, money is secondary or tertiary, not open to discussion.
Peace is not given, it is taken.

This is funny. When you telling how much more money Otokar demanded for the tank and tender was won by a company that doesn't have the means to build the tank.

Why the production of the Altay tank was not carried out by the public sector?
İt is similar to while TAI creating ANKA and new drone technologies , Bayraktar appeared out of blue.

Corruption, corruption, corruption!

I think Selcuk Bayraktar's marriage to Erdogan's daughter has been something that drew a lot of corruption allegations to the company.
As I see it, it has nothing to do with the development of its UAV's. Their products have so far proven to be very effective and affordable.
The continuous development, improvement, tweaks depending to battlefield feedbacks, disciplin and the manufacturing speed sre proof enough that the Bayraktars are hard-working people. Their closeness to the president may have given them some advantages but I won't speculate more than that.
SB has been serving his country by going to battlefields and researching the needs of TSK first-hand before his marriage.
It's totally unfair to label SB as "damat" (son-in-law).

None the less Baykar company has of course some advantages and foreign (example Ukrainian) companies prefer to partner Baykar cos they know there will be some political benefits attached.

But that is OK, any company uses political leverage, US companies have complete lobbies in the senate. Some political leverage is no problem as long as there is no corruption involved. With BMC I am not that sure, there are a lot of fishy things going on with BMC

Come on don't be too harsh on Baykar. They are working hard for their achievement.

According to wiki cost for tech transfer and 300 howitzer is 1 billion $. so it's less than 7 mil. $, but not sure how accurate is that.

Here is a video of the bmc 8x8 from another angle .
We can see that its height is normal , wheels are also normal size and perfect like other 8x8 armored vehicles .
With the azra 600 hp engine according to the statement they published lately but with foreign transmission , working on domestic transmissions is still going , but they can use tumosan transmission (this is not a statement) , i but i think they will use other because tumosan is already putting work to deliver powerpack to fnss for pars .

Speed is okay as well , armor looks good , lets hope to see it in action soon and also in idef expo 2021 next month
