Levent is a RAM system for ships whereas Gürz is a shorad system on 8x8 chasis with short range aa missiles and 35mm cannon. There are no connections or similarities between the two whatsoever, except for maybe both using the same missiles.

Aselsan Gürz is all-in-one system very low to low altitude-short to medium range defence system with soft-hard kill countermeasures and gun-missile systems are bundled together. Bundles Sungur, Command-in-line system missile, RF-Jammer, Optic Dazzler-Laser, Bozdoğan SAM-Gökdoğan SAM optionally, equipped with 4 x Scanning AESA and 1 x Tracking FCR radar for the gun.

Levent is the missile(s) of point-defense system / close-in defense system similar to RIM-116 RAM. First block is improved Sungur, latter block is bulkier and equivalent to RIM-116
