But to be honest I am not thrilled by what's going on especially considering how the arabs are just waiting for a chance to backstab and grab power.

IMO if there is peace in Libya I do not see a need to sell UAV and drones to Haftar until the armed forces on east and west has reconcilled and become one again.

This is a very dumb and dangerous step. I expect backstabbing and powergrabbing again and even if Türkiye is alone and without influence and friends. We should not be selling drones to Libya. They do not need them as they are not in any conflict. arming them will not give them more reasons to reconcile.

We don't have any details but Eastern Libya also needs drones, to first track refugee waves from the south, which Italy will support, and to keep RSF and other militias in Sudan from crossing into Libya as they are losing badly.

We don't have many details, but I think this is with the blessing of US again, it keeps Russia on a tighter leash.

Yes, I can understand why that would require drones, but surely not armed drones, and armed border patrol is something every country in the world is hopefully operating. I can understand some of them can be armed and dangerous, but that's one reason you have armoured vehicles and such equipment.

Yes the drone can cover more distance in short time, but relaying that info to HQ, or nearest border control base etc. and moving out to intercept is part of the game.

I think if it's an issue then East and West should cooperate to build a new joint base for border control and have unarmed UAV for that purpose.

It is possible that Field Marshal Haftar sent his son, a general, for TB-2 drones, and maybe for Akinci.
After all, they still have two separate armies, and they have not stopped exporting oil. If the government in Tripoli has these formidable TB-2s, then why shouldn't Haftar have them?! This is probably the logic of this loser.

Naive guys selling sweet buns on the street do not become leaders of a country in 20 years. They do not become leaders in 200 years either. Erdogan can be accused of anything except naivety. Judging by his behavior, he is most likely a person of the opposite character. With Türkiye's entry into the region, the GNU army supported by Turkey had reached the borders of Sirte. After this period, the UN intervened and brought the two sides together.

After this development, the Dibeyde government was formed from the elected delegates that would represent all of Libya.
Although the Haftar side said they didn't recognize them, the Haftar-supported House of Representatives started peace talks. The coastal road from Sirte to Misrata was opened to traffic. The Central Bank began to be managed from a single source. The Ministry of Oil began to distribute revenues by sharing them.
A part of the army was merged. Civil servants were connected to a single center. A 5+5 military committee was established for joint coordination. Even joint anti-terror operations were carried out in some parts of the south.

While these were happening, Türkiye also started to establish contact with Haftar in the east.
The first official contact was made in Ankara with the Haftar-supported House of Representatives speaker Akile Salih. After this meeting, an agreement was reached for investments in the eastern region. Even an economic form symposium was organized in Benghazi from Türkiye.

The first military meeting took place in Benghazi. As the peace process in Libya progressed, Turkey-Haftar contacts began to increase.

Military teams from Libya began to participate in events organized in Antalya for the defense industry.

In the latest process, Haftar's son Saddam Haftar came to Türkiye to meet with Defense Minister Yaşar Güler. It is reported that agreements have been reached and will be announced in an event held in Benghazi soon.

Relations with the Haftar side have developed during this process. In short, while the parties on the Libyan side were moving towards an agreement, Türkiye also kept up with the process. The problems with the Haftar side seem to have been largely resolved.
