Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler and Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak held official talks in Iraq.
Minister Yaşar Güler, after welcomed by Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, met with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani.
Afterwards, Minister Yaşar Güler was welcomed with military parade by his Iraqi counterpart Sabit Muhammed Rıza El-Abbasi.

It is expected a new operation to be started on Tepe Bahar, but just as you, I don't think this was the main theme of talk.
KDP knows very well what is coming and developments on tactical level also shows that. The emptied villages, the establishment of Peshmerga control points between Gara and Tepe Bahar, the airstrikes towards PKK targets in the vicinity of Sergele and the restraint from withdrawal of Turkish forces from the Matin Mountain suggests that we can expect a operation at Tepe Bahar this year. Even if by first glance this looks like something that is preventing the regular flow of logistics from Gara towards Sergele (Matin tunnel) it also carries importance for Tepe Bahar as well.

Today in the evening, violent clashes took place between the Turkish Armed Forces and PKK terrorists in the Matin axis.
Commander of the Land Forces, General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, went on inspections at the 2nd Border Brigade Command in Hakkari, Cukurca, the Zer Tepe base area in the Claw-Lock Operation region, and the 172nd Armored Brigade Command in Sırnak's Silopi district.
General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu visited the convenience facilities in the barracks and base areas where the troops are stationed and examined the living conditions of the personnel. Meeting with the commanders and other personnel in the region, General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu shared his experiences with the personnel and gave instructions regarding the measures taken.
