I sometimes feel like PKK is placed on our border just to help train our soldiers better. With the latest technologies, it is becoming easier to eliminate these targets. At this point, it just feels like they're becoming target practice, helping improve the readiness level of our army. I hope that we'll see the end of these malicious organizations in our lifetimes and perhaps open up the border regions of our country to tourism. I've travelled most of our South Eastern Region and I must say that we have a wealth of culture lying there. Our small border towns and villages have an incredible mash of different cultures of the region. Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Yezidis, Christians, Assyrians... You can't find so many different languages, religions, culture, topography in most European countries or US states combined. Without these terrorist organizations, the people of these regions could have become billionaires from the tourism potential of the region alone! This would have direclty affected our neighbours on the other side of the border, creating a very wealthy region for all sides.

Do you also feel that all the families who lost their children in terror attacks share your view? You better should fix your moral compass before posting such comments.

I dont think he meant it in such a bad way.

He has a point but of course the families who lost their loved ones disagree.

War is a bad thing when I was young I played a lot of cod, bf, age of empires and total war when you grow up perception of war changes you would never would want to be in such a position especially its easy to talk at the comfort of our own homes when men who left their families behind to pay the ultimate sacrifice.

You're losing the point of my comment. Of course I feel the pain of the families. I have 2 cousins who are currently active gendermarie commandos in the South Eastern region. I know what it feels like waking up, not knowing whether they are in combat or deceased. I know the pain of learning about a terror attack on tv and then trying to get a hold of an official just to see if they are fine. We all have people like them in our families and I personally pray everyday for the safety and well-being of our soldiers. That's why we're so enthusiastically discussing about defence industry news on this forum. As a family, we feel better when we see a new technology, a new drone, a new jet fighter because we know that it might, at some point, help save our own relatives as well. Also, knowing that these weapons can be tested so many times to ensure that they will work the next time they are being used to save on of my OWN relatives, gives me peace. So please, don't try to turn this thing into a "moral compass" situation. This is a defence forum after all. Thanks to our brothers in the army, whom I have many in my family, we are able to live free and safe lives. They deserve the best equipment and the best training. Unfortunately, the best training comes from real life experience. When my cousins entered the army, they couldn't even hold a gun. They've been to many operations and it has been a lot of very scary times for us. However, now that they're experienced, we feel a whole lot better. With their experiences, they can teach a new generation of soldiers who can handle their own with a lot more ease and security. More training always equals fewer losses. Therefore, I always support these operations against PKK targets. It is better to train against these inexperienced and perhaps "easier" targets than training against a real stationary foreign army. If one day things come to the worst and we're in a real war, these experiences will not just save our lives "from the comforts of our homes" but also the most valuable lives of our own soldiers. Turkey currently holds one of the mightiest armies in the world, not because of its technological capacity but because of its readiness and experience level. If you don't know how to use an equipment, its advantages and disadvantages, quirks and bugs etc., you're not a capable user, you're just an equipment hoarder.

Images of the Air Force Operations Center and the Land Forces Operations Center, where the Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, along with the Turkish Armed Forces Command Division, commanded and controlled the Claw-Lightning and Claw-Thunderbolt operations ...

Moments where targets are struck and land units are dropped by helicopters are visible.

Official statement of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the posters that were planned to be printed for the occasion of Papa's visit to KRG targeting Turkey's national integrity.

View attachment 15795

"It is seen that among the commemorative stamps that are expected to be printed by the KRG on the occasion of Pope Francis' visit to Iraq, there is also a stamp depicting a map including some provinces in our country.

Some presumptuous KRG leaders attempt to use this visit to reveal their crude dreams for the territorial integrity of Iraq's neighboring countries.

How such insidious ambitions result in frustration will be remembered best by the KRG authorities.

We expect the KRG authorities to make a clear statement as soon as possible for the immediate correction of this grave mistake."
Why so sensitive about a stamp didn’t you say the same to the Iranians about the poems or it’s your double standards??!

The poem was recited in a totally different context. It was recited in order to recreate emotionally the pain when Karabakh was occupied and cut of Azerbaijan. Turkey respects the national integrity of its neighbours. Even the top people in Iran recognized that fact and moved on.

Try to be more productive for yourself and watch how history is written in Northern Iraq. TSK is raping PKK like there's no tomorrow right now.

We are on war. People die. That’s nature of military conflicts. Nothing to do with moral or feelings. It is like it is and we try to win this war.
