Today we have another serious development.

The Turkish Air Forces hit a farm in the village of Sergele which is under the Matin Mountain. Yesterday we hit two trucks with supplies that were going to Sergele from Gara and Peshmerga control point was attacked by PKK in the village. Looks like today TSK gave even clearer message.

This would help us achieve some level of deterrence. What we lack compared to the Iranians are the militias.

We have double digit number of military bases in the north of Iraq. Their strength and coordinates are known while Iran operates "underground". They don't have military bases. They have ghosts.

I am very sorry we missed our chances with the Turkmen based on sectarianism. If we did what we had to do in 2001, then continued efforts and support the Turkmen now we wouldn't have needed to discuss at least the half of the problems we discuss, but unfortunately we were busy pleasing the US all these years.

Not to forget the growing tarikats in Turkey. They’re imo indirect helping hand to Iran. So it’d be in our interest to have kill teams that just snuff them out. Dead people can’t cause trouble, complainers can be silenced and the rest will be monitored and dealt with accordingly.

The situation is even more dangerous because government doesn’t seem to do a thing against tarikats.

PKK's statement on yesterday's clashes with Peshmerga.

The Press Centre of the People's Defence Forces (HPG) issued a statement on the attack by a KDP unit on a guerrilla group in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. According to the statement, a guerrilla group was travelling in two cars towards Girê Amêdiyê at around eleven o'clock on 24 January when they were ambushed and attacked by KDP forces in the district of Sergelê. The attackers had been waiting for the guerrilla group in a vehicle with a heavy machine gun. The guerrillas then left their cars and shot back. A battle broke out, after which Turkish surveillance drones showed up.

"Two of our friends were injured by shots fired by the KDP. Our cars became unusable due to the shelling and had to be left behind. They were later bombed by Turkish warplanes," said the HPG, denying the Turkish Ministry of Interior's account of the incident: "The Ministry of Interior's statement on the issue is a complete distortion of the facts. The battle broke out due to the ambush laid against our forces. It is a disgrace that a Kurdish force put itself at the service of the Turkish state and attacked the guerrillas while they were resisting the occupation of Kurdistan. We hope that this situation will not be repeated, and we will continue to behave responsibly despite everything," emphasized the HPG.

A Federation is the best way to protect your citizens against a incompetent President.

Given the KDP's inability to campaign in Kirkuk, any alliance between the two is heavily slanted in PUK's favour due to the number of seats they won in the election.

Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler and Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak held official talks in Iraq.

Minister Yaşar Güler, after welcomed by Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, met with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani.

Afterwards, Minister Yaşar Güler was welcomed with military parade by his Iraqi counterpart Sabit Muhammed Rıza El-Abbasi.

Both ministers held private and inter-delegation meetings. At the meetings in which views were exchanged on bilateral/regional defence and security issues, Minister Yaşar Güler also conveyed the greetings of President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Minister Yaşar Güler continues contacts in Bagdad.
