It is reported that the operation will start in 24 to 48 hours. Russian choppers are conducting patrol flights near the Turkish operation areas.

A sizeable TAF convoy is heading south in the east Euphrates theater. I won't disclose the exact location.
Any new news about the operation @TheInsider ?
I keep hearing rumors about artillery exchanges between TSK and PKK and that the filthy Iranians are bringing re-inforcements into the frontlines

They still have fighters in Hmeimim Airbase. Russian soldiers withdrew from most of the places. They still control Latakia, Tartus, Hmeimim. Choppers and fighters patrol the airspace from time to time.

It seems like the opening moves will continue for a while. IMHO there won't be a big move before the operation in Northern Iraq nears completion.

Unfortunately, Turkey cannot initiate a campaign without Russian and US approval.

As it stands, the Russians knows that a new operation will alter the status-quo and so, they are trying to:

1. prevent an operation e.g. deploying assets and organising patrols around Turkey's targest e.g. Ayn Issa, Tall Tamr.
2. Reach an agreement to allow the Syrian regime to capture territory east of the Euphrates or even request for areas around Idlib in return.

And the Americans are of course against any sort of action that will harm the SDF - especially because they are in control of several prisons housing ISIS members.

Not again!!

As long as Russia and USA say no there is no operation.

It should be noted that it is unlikely that TSK would have shared the date with SNA until the last minute. He could be bluffing or playing psychops with PKK

Well when it comes to Turkey then usa 🇺🇸 is a member of Warsaw Pact as always. Interestingly how these rats are always united when your name is Mehmed Ali , anyway my name is Mehmed Ali and despite all their efforts I am still around and heavily armed. People who stand naked on Spanish beaches with their families will need to do a bit better in order to get rid of me. Lanatullahi

They cant do shit, its all about Turkey at this point, there is no need for agreements whatsoever, that was back then even those have not been kept by the americans and russians and now where these both are fighting a nasty proxy war u have again dynamics that heavily changed, Turkey has escalation dominance here and will use it and there is nothing they can do about it. Especially now where the russian armed forces have turned out to be a 3rd world army and the americans preparing for China invading Taiwan.

There is Erdogan's full explanation about Syria, detailed and good information about the region, I recommend you to read it ⬇️
“It is not possible for us to leave unanswered even the slightest attack against Turkey from the north of Syria. Certain terrorist organizations have focal points in northern Syria.
These focal points are present in all those regions, from northeast to northwest of Syria. Unfortunately, all coalition forces, especially the USA, are providing serious weapons, tools, equipment and ammunition to these terrorist organizations and they still continue to do so.
The USA gave these aids to thousands of trucks. Who is he doing? PKK, YPG, PYD terrorist organizations. These aids were given to all of them, and it still continues. They even provide training to them in the region. Now, while these facts stand out, are we still ignoring them?
Just as we have operations against the PKK and its puppies in Northern Iraq, the same situation is much more valid, much more important for Syria. As I always say, one night we suddenly descend on their tops, and we have to.
Aren't we going to make them pay the price of our martyrs? We finished the job of around 30 terrorists in two days.
Together with those in northern Iraq, we have now neutralized over 100 terrorists. This process will continue, we cannot stop. We will root out terrorism and terrorists.”
First of all, everyone has to do their part (talking to the USA about the operation). America has to do its part, too.
If America does not fulfill its duty in the fight against terrorism, what will we do? We'll take care of ourselves. It is not possible to fight against terrorism by obtaining permission from somewhere.”

Operation is unavoidable, either tomorrow, or in six months. What difference does that make? We need to negotiate to pull the US to common ground, and Erdogan is doing his part, insert more pressure in the canister… What are we going to gain if we clash with the US? Further tension in our relations? How about new sanctions? Acting with rage, we will have to go through the consequences!

Headhunters are still out there in the field, doing the best they do, we all know that. Hardly any objections to such point-target operations. As we wait, we should use it to our best advantage…

They will remove their troops, or there will be a stand off with the americans, while the russians are dealing with them in ukraine, that would just greenlight the chinese to annex taiwan. That will just accelerate the demise of the US as the global power.

The operation and the safe zone for the refugees have utmost priority, 2 birds 1 stone.

Actually three birds, last one is us! Do you do business, or have an investment in Turkey? If you don’t, boy, you can not understand what it is like to wake up every morning just to see your capital and/or investments shrink beyond the tolerable. That is what it means (sanctions, prickly relations with the west, etc.) to any of us living and doing business in Turkey! I‘d vote for a little more patience. Time will reveal the opportunities!
