Recent news in Syria:
🔺️The ceasefire has been extended by 15 more days. This was due to a direct request from the US to have more time to evacuate ISIS prisoners from Syria to Iraq
🔺️There will be no further modifications to the current deal, they have 15 more days, either they will agree or a military operation will start
🔺️According to many sources, many in the international coalition is pissed at the SDF for freeing ISIS prisoners to cause chaos in the region after the PKK got humiliated by the Govt forces
🔺️The PKK/SDF has been foresaken by the West, the visuals showing 11 years old boys and girls gaining freedom after the PKK has escaped from Raqqa have gained a wide momentum and politicians have just stopped talking about the kurds aside from a few demented US politicians like Lindsay Graham
🔺️PKK is now placing all of their hopes on either DEM party in Turkey or Israel; Dem has its hands tied as the AKP is set on supporting Al-Sharaa till the end while the Israelis dont wanna risk troops and money for some ragtag bunch of so-called kurds
🔺️According to Israeli media, the PKK has been carrying out non-stop contacts to try and find patrons that can aid them by convincing Turkey to stop any further military operation
🔺️All military preparations by the govt has been completed for retaking the remaining areas under the PKK
🔺️Current PKK's counteroffer is to have demilitarised region in Hasakeh and Ayn al Arab with a SDF-rule and the SDF gets to nominate direct advisors to nearly all ministries; in return, the SDF will give the border crossings and oil fields in Hasakeh to the Syrian govt with a small share dedicated to the SDF and this has been completely rejected by the Syrian govt
🔺️Barzani and Qandil leadership are preventing Mazloum Abdi from accepting the current deal; just like with the March 10 agreement
🔺️Barzani is pissed at losing the oil fields of Syria; apparently, the PKK used to sell Syrian oil for piss cheap to Barzani (reprtedly 5$ per barrel) which aided him in maintaining his rule, stabilising prices, gaining popularity, and reselling the oil to Turkey and Iraq at higher prices. Barzani, if the SDF got completely defeated, will face huge popularity and economic backlash which is a nightmare to him during a period where the infighting between him and Talabani is high, especially considering that Barzani's political image runs on Kurdish supremacy and right-wing radicalism
🔺️Turkey is planning to build military bases throughout Syria but in phases to avoid direct friction with Israel in the short term

EDIT: I just want to clarify that along with Barzani's policiies being run on so-called kurdish supremacy, his opponent, the Talabani, is no-different than him! The Talabanis have many relations with the PKK, YPG, as well as the Iranian branch of the PKK. In fact, according to many US sources, it was the Talabanis that facilitated the arming program of the PKK/YPG/SDF that included suicide drones and they were also involved in selling American tech to the Iranians and Hezbollah

In other words, the current kurdish political landscape in the region is just like that of Israel. All parties are radical, genocidal, fanatics! The only difference between different kurdish groups is that they are fighting each other for the position of the "leader" of the kurdish fiasco. However, at the end of the day, Talabanis, Barzanis, PKK, SDF, YPG, Qandil are all sides of the same coin under different aliases

I think they knew from the beginning they had no future. No sociologic or historical background, just bunch of thugs etc. May be, just may be they hoped SDG to become pain in the neck for us.

Quite frankly, we would do the same if we could hinder their strength. Especially to a powerful nation whose history is full of establishing and overthrowing states and empires. That is natural, particularly in middle east. I just wanted to point out these SDG and supporters lost their minds enough to believe it that Israel would come to their aid at the cost of completely losing Türkiye

Greece is hopeless imho. They are living between in a dream and nightmare and no realism whatsoever, still. I think they will never give up. Logic and realism tells us what you point out, I hope so. But history tells us the quite the opposite. Even before the Conquest of Constantinople, their finance was completely collapsed, they didnt give up anyway, they even threatened the Sultan Mehmed for releasing Prince Orhan and trying to find allies in Europe.

I dont want to be out of context, but throught their history, they have had lands large enough undeservedly because of their excellent diplomatic capabilities. That is where we are not so good at it. When they dont think defeat us militarily, they will try to contain and isolate us diplomatically. Waiting until one day we become weak. That is what they always do.

However, I forget where I read it, an important foreign academic article said that rise of Turkiye is a historical inevitablity. I think so that way, it may be delayed but noone can stop it, even ourselves.

The reason Greece, even though it has no legitimacy in their claims regarding Med Sea and is both smaller and weaker than Turkey, has the balss to continue defending their ridiculous claims is because they know that the EU will break the law if it meant it will help their "christian" friend defeat the "turk"
