Bruh. Looks at the Turkish products in the forum and writes that they are interested in random African Arab countries. If they could only pause for a moment while they were lying, Bismillah was not yet delivered to the army.

Algeria, Roketsan and KARAOK missiles

Algeria is said to be in late-stage negotiations with Turkish defense company Roketsan for the procurement of KARAOK anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).

How many KARAOK ATGMs is Algeria looking to acquire?

Will the deal include a technology transfer agreement?

@TheInsider can you confirm or deny this?
Technology transfer?! Hell no!

I heard nothing but it is extremely possible. North African countries are very interested in Turkish weapons. Algeria also looking to shop with a big budget and Karaok= US Javelin with a very affordable price tag. Algeria is looking for an independent supplier. TR might step in but I doubt a technology transfer will happen. How can you transfer the technology of producing IIR seekers? It goes way back to the atomic level and includes very big investments both money human and machinery wise and insanely hard technologies to crack. You know the Turkish defense industry adventure. Even if we want to transfer the technology(we certainly can as next-generation capabilities are in the works/maturing) there is nothing that can be done unless there is an already established infrastructure and manpower. What can be done is a co-production or license production project. Produce the part that can be produced with the existing infrastructure in Algeria (like the rocket engine, outer shell, launch tube, control surfaces, maybe warhead) and send the other parts from Turkey. And if Algeria really wants it, we can start from the beginning with education, machinery, labs, and set up a plan to really step up their local capabilities for the high-tech parts which are really hard to produce locally. It will take years. Turkish defense industry didn't appear out of thin air in a day. It is decades of hard work. Unfortunately, technology transfer can't create miracles like instantly producing it yourself.

To sum it up, you need to have an Aselsan and a company at least one notch higher than MKE to produce Karaok with technology transfer.

What I Heard and Predictions About GEZGİN Cruise Missile

İbrahim Sünnetçi

It resembles Tomahawk and NCM Cruise Missiles in appearance, but its nose structure is different (similar to SLAM-ER and SOM B1/B2),

Its body is made of aluminum sheet and its design is generally shaped in accordance with low radar visibility (stealth) characteristics,

While SOM ALCM, which can glide for 90km without starting its engine after launch, spends most of its flight time at medium altitude, GEZGİN will fly at low altitude after launch, so it can reach the desired range with a turbojet engine (closed lubrication engine) and a large a fuel tank is required,

· Since oil lubrication technique is used in the missile, I estimate the volume of the lubrication tank to be in the body as at least 2.5lt,

· I guess that GEZGİN's pop-out type, angled wings, which open after the booster is separated, are about 1m long and enter the fuel tank inside the fuselage just like the other cruise fuser,

· The engine air intake design is flat and serrated, the serrate angles are the same as the blades,

· I guess that there is a special recess for penetrating warhead in the middle of the fuel tank (as in the SOM-B2 example),

· The first shooting test was expected in 2019, this date was later updated to 2020, but no information about the shooting was shared in open sources,

For 'oil lubricated' turbojet type turbojet engines supplied from France (The configuration number of the G-Engine was determined as 275-4, a model specially designed for GEZGİN with a performance above TR50, which is forbidden to export with the special permission from the French DGA. ) contract was signed in 2017 (October), deliveries were scheduled to start in the second half of 2018 (September/October) and be completed within 42 months,

· Utilized SOM ALCM technology (in terms of navigation, guidance equipment and head section design),

A new generation booster (first launch rocket engine) made of high-strength steel was designed for GEZGİN to be used at the first launch,

· It is expected that the first shots with GEZGIN will be made with Ballistic Test Missile (BTF) prototypes, which are used to verify the ballistic and aerodynamic characteristics of the missile, followed by Controlled Test Missile (KTF) shots, which allow the stabilization, auto-pilot and control algorithms of the missile to be tested.

IMO aluminum body might be replaced by a composite body. Composite materials have better mechanical properties and lower RCS than aluminum and cost is not really a problem for a high-end product like Gezgin cruise missile.

A local engine with a thrust between 3500-4000 N might quickly appear based on KTJ-3200. Kale already announced they are working on new projects. I expect such engines to appear quickly because they will be based on already established research, development, and infrastructure. The first one is always the hardest one.

Gezgin Missile engine will be a turbojet rather than a turbofan. This makes the time to completion of the project shorter as it will practically be a larger Atmaca/SOM. A turbofan model with a longer range will likely follow in the years after the completion of the turbojet model.

It is said that Algeria is in final stage negotiations with Roketsan for the supply of KARAOK.

It would be unbelievable if such a sale happens before it even enters our own inventory.

According to news coming from various Turkish press sites, the agreement on the delivery of second portion of the S400 missile system purchased, is almost finalised.
New delivery will involve missiles of the system being manufactured in Turkey with TOT.
If true, that will put the cat among the pigeons!

Thinking loud out, cruise missile Kara wouldn't have such (as shown in display mock up) a seeker at the end product right?
It should have a wide-angle sensor for geoghrapical guidance and target seekeing / recognization.

If it is going to be as effective on ground targets and travel to it’s destination by hugging the contours of the geography, it should have a seeker head like the one on SOM missiles.

I am still confused about this "STA" Project.
Why did they need 2 entirely new platforms for what is essentially a 2x ATGM Carrier. I really don't know if that was necessary or if they couldn't attach them to already existing platforms like:

ZMA-15 ZTA

and COBRA II

Both are already in the Inventory and that would increase commonality.
Why did FNSS with all their Contracts go ahead and design a 4x4 which they haven't done before.

> I just think the time and Money which went into designing these platforms could be put into State of the Art Wheeled and Tracked IFVs which the Armed Forces so desperately need. But they prioritized this. Contract was signed in 2016 btw.

Is Gezgin the missile that would be the biggest missile achievment for turkish missiles when it comes to the speed of the missile and reach?
