Collaboration from TÜBİTAK SAGE (TR) and Excalibur Army (CZ) for the KUZGUN family

As reported by CZ Defense, TÜBİTAK SAGE and Czech Republic-based Excalibur Army signed a statement of intent on the development of fire support platforms through the KUZGUN Modular Joint Munitions Family.

The cooperation of Excalibur Army, which produces many different platforms from 4×4 TTZAs to 8×8 trucks, and TÜBİTAK SAGE, which develops the KUZGUN family that can meet different needs, can create solutions that appeal to the international market. Mobile fire support platforms using precision-guided missiles have started to stand out as an area where countries such as the UK and the USA invest, with their fast reaction times and sensitivity. - DefenceTurk

Jaroslav Skála, General Manager of Excalibur Army, made the following statements:

“We are pleased to sign the expansion statement that TÜBİTAK SAGE will bring to our product portfolio using guided missiles and smart munitions. These have the potential to bolster our artillery systems and strengthen our position on land platforms. At the same time, we can offer new opportunities in the field of performance, driving characteristics and protection to the vehicles of our Turkish partners.”

TÜBİTAK SAGE Business Development and Marketing Manager Tunca Selbes talked about TÜBİTAK SAGE's intentions on cooperation with Czech companies:

“We are proud of our partnership with Excalibur Army. We can create highly effective weapon systems with our RAVEN missiles, which are among the best in the world, and Excalibur Army's platforms. We hope that the declaration we signed will be the beginning of our cooperation with Excalibur Army and other Czech companies.”

Mr Ikinci:

TAYFUN's test shot was made into the sea. There was no warhead in this shot. TAYFUN is currently in mass production. ( ) The development of TAYFUN will continue continuously. It will have exports, but it is very limited."

Our hybrids generally use oxygen as liquid . We use a wax type of fuel, which we know as solid paraffin. Actually, you can say it's a very simple technology. The difference of our technology is actually, as I said, we use a very fast burning wax-based technology.

The biggest advantage of the engines developed by Turkey is that they are cost-effective.

It seems liquid/hybrid fueled rockets can produce more power and carry more payloads than solid fuel rockets.

I think they just use delta v test rockets for Tolun.

Few important bullet points made by Roketsan MD :
1. Tayfun is now in serial production line. Due to being totally indigenous, we can produce as many and as often as the need arises.
2. Tayfun can reach above atmospheric altitudes, in space.
3. Tayfun can execute manoeuvres to render itself difficult to be targeted by AD systems.
4. Tayfun embodies within itself all the most developed navigational and seeker systems, to improve its precision targeting capabilities.
5. Range of Tayfun can be altered easily. But the emphasis on this missile is with precision strikes. It can hit it’s target within an accuracy of 4 to 5metres.

It is also stated that when looked in to the angle of launch being more acute than 45 degrees during the first test, it is prudent to point out that the maximum range is much more than what then was stated.
