Do you guys think that there is fiber optic version of OMTAS being worked on? Fiber optic is much more reliable than any other guidance systems.

They can co-design/-develop a upgraded version of the engine and call it Turkish/Ukrainian.
If i am not mistaken MTCR also includes the ToT and delivery of machinery which enables the technology.
I am still not convinced by the news and articles as such, because Ukrainians might have their own cruise missile projects -apparently they do- and they might have spoken particularly about that and the author has connected two unrelated dots by telling Al-35 will power Gezgin cruise missiles.

If a Ukrainian engine is used on Gezgin, wouldn't MTCR restrict its range?
in fact MTCR does not impose any binding obligation so things depends on the context or lets say things depands on, are you percived as a good guy or a bad guy by the ''international community'' if but only if the news is ture I belive we can get away with ''co-design/-develop'' scnerio which is legitimate enough

I think there is a big possibility for the development and rebrand of the engine within the scope of the Black Sea Shield company which is established between Turkey and Ukraine. As far as I can predict it will be the same system implemented when it comes to Akinci's engines.

Akbaba would be better choice of a name for Kargi, I guess :)
I agree. Vultures loiter over their prey or carcasses they intend to consume for extended periods of time. Akbaba would've been the perfect name for a loitering munition.

Ukraine to supply engines for Turkish next-generation cruise missile

1582739358511-1068x601.jpg

Ukraine will supply advanced missile engines to Turkey, for new cruise missile with deep-strike capability.
The news agency Defense Express, quoting the ProZorro public procurement platform, reported that SE Ivchenko-Progress signed a number of contracts for the purchase of cutting-edge aircraft engine components for the new AI-35 turbojet engines that will equip new Turkish cruise missiles.
SE Ivchenko-Progress designed the AI-35 engine family to power high-speed unmanned aircraft systems and advanced cruise missiles.

According to the news agency, the AI-35 engines should be delivered to Turkey, where they are going to be used in the production of new cruise missiles. Relevant information, in December last year, during a visit to the enterprise of the former Minister of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Milovanov, said the director of the enterprise Igor Kravchenko.
“We make AI-35 for the Turks. This is for a cruise missile. Now we have a contract signed for this engine,” said the director of Ivchenko-Progress during the presentation of new projects.
Currently, Turkey is developing a new cruise missile under the Gezgin program. Information from the open sources has indicated that new missiles will be similar to U.S.-made Tomahawk and will have a modular design.
The Gezgin project is designed to develop conventional long-range strike capabilities for naval platforms. This new missile is thought to have a range capability of approximately 1,000 kilometers.

Turkey’s indigenous anti-ship missile ATMACA hits the target without GPS support

ATMACA

Turkey’s indigenous anti-ship missile ATMACA hit the target at the latest test-fire, Head of the Turkish Defense Industry Ismail Demir commented in a press conference on 29th September.
At the press conference where information was given about the final tests of the ATMACA anti-ship missile, President Demir outlined that ATMACA is far better than its competitors and counterparts. Stating that efforts are being made to end the external dependence in the engine, Demir said, “Next year we will see that domestic cruise missile engines are used on the systems.”

“One of the final tests of ATMACA was completed successfully. This was the penultimate test of ATMACA. One more test left. But it means we have come to the end. We expect the company to start mass production activities on the one hand.” Mr.Demir said.
“The maturation of a product does not take place in 2-3 tests. Among the systems developed today, we have systems where nearly 50 tests are performed until the maturity stage. I this respect, announcing the test of a product could be understood as it’s ready by the public. The product qualification process must be completed so that the user can use it without any doubt. In addition to ATMACA, work is also being carried out on ground-to-ground cruise missiles and air-to-ground cruise missiles derived from it.” he added.
In his speech at the meeting, Roketsan General Manager Murat Ikinci emphasized the importance of GPS-free flight, especially in the last test.
“This test was actually a scenario that included testing ATMACA under the most difficult conditions. It is a profile that is used clearly with its own inertial navigation unit, which is GPS-independent, calculating the target very seriously. This was an indication that the efficiency of ATMACA was measured clearly in environments where electronic warfare is very intense. In cases where there is any external intervention or jamming, ATMACA prepares for the most challenging scenarios in this way.” Mr.Ikinci commented.
Warhead was not used in ATMACA in this test-fire. After being tested with the warhead in the final test, ATMACA will be ready for mass production.

Guys, does anyone know if we make any "cooled" IR/IIR seekers?
Actively cooling the infrared sensor apparently reduces noise and makes the missile much more sensitive.

Robust said in the TrMillitary that Aselsan couldn't produce at the focal plane array level. The most critical parts are still imported.

You can see the pdf of those used in the U / Omtas or Hisars for you to feel good, but it's still at the assembly level.
