Turkey needs to go nuclear. Only in this way, Turkey and her interests will be protected. A few hundred conventional rockets will not do the job.
I agree to that, though very difficult for us. I'd even say go for H-bomb or anti-matter if dreaming is allowed :)

Nuclear activities in Turkiye are only and only about decarbonization and creating a more livable environment for future. There is a serious excitement in academic circles, especially about 4th gen MSR and thorium. However, all these studies and panels are about whether our country can achieve energy independence in the future and whether it can produce technology in this field. So, End of discussion. Mates, there is no need to discuss this issue here.

Turkish territory is an extremely rich source of Thorium-232. Therefore, we are likely to see much more academic work on U-233 in the coming years in TR, which is trying to build its nuclear energy industry. And our foes will want to take these studies to a different point with completely false claims. Turkiye has a very clean and transparent record in this regard. Even if this is(nuclear proliferation) not technically possible due to the agreements Turkiye is a signatory to and the inspections Turkiye is subject to, we will have to fight these allegations. We have had research reactors since the 1960s and have raised many scientists. The enriched uranium obtained in these facilities has a very transparent inspection and transfer mechanism in accordance with international agreements.

Therefore, we need to be sensitive about what we write about this issue.

Something with good firepower, Cenk is war. Cenk meydane , something like Tayfun but faster?
Maybe the supersonic cruise missile? 2 BM per month is not good for health.

And i really appreciate Murat Ikinci and Roketsan, they are investing good amount of money in scientific research and R&D and collaboration with universities in high-level technical matters.

Also the space program, Roketsan, SSB and the government separates missile programs from space programs in distinctive manner. I appreciate the effort, none of the recent developments in BM is directly related to any space program; in fact, it was even vice versa.

Turkiye openly underlines that balance West is trying to change in favor of Greece, even Greek Cypriots against Turkiye which was kept under sanctions for a while will not make any sense from now on. Someone might dare to do something crazy again like they did in past against interests of Turkiye when they signed protection agreements with a few states and bought a few used aircrafts and were encouraged by same West by giving support at all conditions without asking who is legally right.

The message that is tried to be passed with long range missiles that will bring heavy destruction is clearly a warning for what will happen to the pawn of this alliance in front of us. It is to show the impossibility of establishing a new balance in accordance with their own interests against Turks, even if they wanted to. Giving a new missile name is enough to provide this deterrance in those days.
Today, the foreign ministry clearly said that Greece's search for an adventure was tantamount to eating its brains, with cheese bread. (for non-Turkish members, it is a common Turkish idiom used as a warning before lose one's senses and fatal blunders, which often start with a stupid show of heroism)

This potential stupidity is apparently so serious that Turkiye has been forced to reveal part of the iceberg.

I guess CENK is possibly the ramjet anti-ship/cruise missile. There are at least 3 known ramjet missile projects. Gökhan ramjet AA missile(Tübitak), Akbaba ramjet anti-radiation missile(Roketsan), and ramjet anti-ship/cruise missile(Roketsan). Akbaba and Gökhan are airforce projects. Ramjet cruise missile is a navy project. It is older than the Gezgin project. There is also JASSM like air-launched cruise missile. Arat engine is being developed for that and Gezgin.

On the ballistic side, there is an SRBM-sized MRBM project just like Tayfun which is a tactical ballistic missile(TBM) sized SRBM.

Summary of explanations regarding missile projects,

  • The range of the TAYFUN Ballistic Missile System will increase significantly.
  • The CENK and GEZGIN missile systems will be announced soon.
  • SIPER long-range air defense system deliveries will begin soon.
  • Deliveries of BOZDOGAN and GOKDOGAN A-A missiles begin.
  • KARAOK (125mm fire-forget ATGM) missile deliveries begin.
  • Deliveries of the ŞİMŞEK target drone's variant into a cruise missile begin.

Whether accıdentally or intentionally-accidental utterance of a CENK missile’s existence has caused a lot of stir among defence news rooms.
There is not enough information even on Tayfun missile. Now we are having to guess what CENK can be.
We don’t yet know if Tayfun is a SRBM or a Tactical Ballistic missile. As it looks like Bora and launched from a Bora Canister most of us assume it is a tactical ballistic missile with a suppressed trajectory. The casual calculation of time flown and distance covered correspond to a suppressed trajectory of a quasi ballistic missile. If we were to assume that Tayfun were a SRBM, then we would expect more than the 90km altitude NOTAM declared, and because of the distance it will have covered at the given flight time the average speed would have been close to almost 7 Mach. So it is more prudent to say that Tayfun is a fast tactical missile with an exceptionally long range.
But more important than the range are ; the accuracy of the missile and it’s ablilty to target and hit moving sea objects. This capability is a game changer event in it’s own right. This information hasn’t been released either.

As CENK missile was mentioned together and within the context of Gezgin, it is therefore logical to assume it can be a cruise missile of some description. As we are developing ramjet powered missiles through Tubitak Sage and Roketsan, the natural continuation of these would be a supersonic anti ship missile like Brahmos. But for an anti ship missile with ramjet, it would be easier to implement a gel based liquid fuelled ramjet rather than a solid fuelled one. However we know that, Roketsan’s Akbaba missile that is being developed, has a solid fuelled ramjet engine. So if CENK is Roketsan’s ramjet powered missile, it probably has a solid fuelled ramjet engine. (Unless it is a Tubitak Sage missile!)
CENK could be a true SRBM too. But due to current events and the messages being directed at certain centres, one is inclined to assume that CENK is a strategically important and technically advanced missile to prove that Turkey is way past the point of being deterred by any of it’s neighbours.

Thanks to the elections we will see lots of products and learn so much about future projects in near future. Meanwhile, I think the same. Cenk is a ramjet engine cruise missile. On the other hand, in the unlikely event, it can be a NLOS missile superior to Spike NLOS.

Are you saying we would not know about such projects if it was not for elections.
Dismissing that there is an escalation of tension between Türkiye and Greece and foreign forces are amassing in the Aegean and eastern Mediterranean against Türkiye. While these weapons are being prepared especially for such threats. What time would be a better time when Greek generals are talking about targeting Istanbul that we reveal some of our weapons programs. I can't think of any.

Tactical ballistic missile is a sub-category of SRBM. TBMs usually have a range lower than 300kms. Tayfun is an SRBM if we take into account its max range of 750-850km. Tayfun is a TBM if we take into account its mobility and battlefield deployment(similar to Bora in size and weight). SRBMs and other ballistic missiles can also have suppressed trajectories and can execute maneuvers. This ability is not exclusive to tactical ballistic missiles.

Is this "Gezgin" not the same project mentioned previously in cooperation with Ukraine?

Congrats to you all for the recent achievement in the ballistic missile sector

regarding CENK , I think it will probably have the same concept as the Iranian missile Kheibar Shekan
