If Gökdoğan Fox-2 matches AIM-120B in range, then it is the longest ranged WVR missile in existence. Longer than the Sidewinders, longer than the MICA.
If its high off-boresight capabilities are on par with AIM-9X's, then it would be one hell of a beast

Bro, it could be that.

But the thing is, for IIR missile like bozdogan I am not sure of the seeker would survive the heating beyond 60km. For example, MICA RF has range up to 80km but IIR variant's range limited to 60km because of its seeker.

Anyway, 50/60km would an insane range for gokdogan already.

Getting active deployement approval for ships probably takes longer than usual.

When you have 4-8 missiles(for Ada class) and no immediate reload option(you need to make port to reload) you really want to make sure that your missiles work. Especially when you want to replace allready proven missile.

But yes starting the tests mean you reach halfway through the project and not the end. It really is exhausting even though you knew that it takes time. I guess when you see the project materialized the wait became extra painfull
