Its not clear whether they use ktj 3200 or tr40
I would expect KTJ-3200 to be used, I remember there was news about delivery of Serially produced KTJ-3200 to be used in Atmaca.

IT doesn't matter, we ordered something about several hunderd TR40 engines what would be used in Atmaca and SOM. I think every missile that is delivered to Turkish armed forces will use TR40 engine because of export restricions.

Any news on whether the range of Atmaca increased with KTJ3200? I remember reading that it would run for longer than TR40.

I doubt that, KTJ-3200 has SFC of 1.2kg, while TR40's SFC is 1.1kg.

We should have our own naming system at some point. I have something like this in mind based on first development goals:

XY = Non-Cruise ground attack missiles, X depends on launch platform (K, D, H)
XS = Cruise Missiles, X depends on launch platform
HSF = Air Defense
HH = Air-to-Air
BF = Ballistic Missiles
DM = Loitering Munitions

If a missile was converted for launch from another platform, SUNGUR for air for example would be:

HSF-5 SUNGUR: Ground based
HH-5 SUNGUR: UAV/Helicopter based

Too little.
We need to tape over the "make Karaok" button, if you catch my drift.
Hopefully it's for the first big batch only. We had procured 600 Eryx systems and 4000 missiles. Entire ATGM inventory is in need of a direct replacement. We only have some undisclosed numbers of OMTAS, i think so far in 2 batches, OMTAS in STAs and few more on Yalman STAs.

Do enlighten me if the Milans are retired.

I can't remember the source but few years back i read that Karaok was planned for use only by Turkish special and commando units.The rest will use Omtas.
TSK will need lots of ATGM's though if they plan to completely replace Eryx,TOW and Milan in their arsenal.

I remember something similar, but that is simply bad planning and just continuation of the old organizational scheme from 70s to 90s. It won't answer the current woes of the battlefield. Needs to change.

Weapons like Karaok and Sungur aren't just weapons. They're also highly unorthodox yet effective instruments of foreign policy.
Therefore they need their own strategic reserves, similar to how one has their own strategic oil reserves. Which means they have to be CONSTANTLY in production.

UMTAS with 1.8m length has 8km range
UMTAS-GM Block-1 with 1.72 m length has 16km range

It seems we have invented new mixture of propellant or is it outsourced?

I expect new propellant but that is not it. Did you see how long UMTAS-GM's wings are? Using ballistic trajectory it can glide much longer.

It is better for such missiles with complex optic seekers to be a little slower (Which is the case anyway due to increased drag) so that targets can be picked out much better in MITL or autonomous mode
