First of all I am back!

I have a question. We now know for sure that YALMAN weapons station is actively used at the border with Syria.

Yalman entered inventory within the STA project or it is separate one? How many will be delivered?

Welcome back.

Yalman integrated ZMA is introduced under the name of Sipahi weapon carrier platform. So, it is a separate project.

Türkiye's critical decision on anti-tank missile production

Türkiye decided to double its anti-tank missile production. For this purpose, the construction of new facilities continues within the Turkish defense industry.

UMTAS, L-UMTAS and OMTAS Anti-Tank Missiles developed by Roketsan are actively used by both the Turkish Armed Forces and friendly countries. Due to ever-increasing demands and in order to meet the needs as soon as possible, it was decided to approximately double the production infrastructure capacity of anti-tank missiles.

In this context, activities have begun to establish a new facility within Roketsan, which will approximately double the mass production infrastructure capacity. On the other hand, in addition to anti-tank missiles, it was decided to increase the production capacity of MAM-L, MAM-T and MAM-C ammunition used by UCAVs.

Great news, but we also need to ask ourselves if production is being done smartly or just employing more people to do the job. I'd prefer robotics taking over and doing most of the work.

Very good decision! Judging by the recent conventional conflicts it is understood that anti-tank weapons systems are one of the most intensely used systems which is also maybe more than 80% effective in what the system's objective is. One ATGM fire means over 80% chance of a destroyed tank or even more expensive and sophisticated equipment. It is also proven effective against infantry targets so very good decision. *Impatiently waiting for Karaok

ATMACA Anti-Ship Missile compatible with F-16s is coming

Deliveries of the National Anti-Ship Missile ATMACA to the Naval Forces Command continue. Development work has also begun for the air-launched configuration of ATMACA, which was first used on surface warships. In this direction; ATMACA Block-I Anti-Ship Missile will be integrated into F-16 PO-III/PO-IV aircraft.

Within the scope of integration studies; Mission planning, fire control and data link technologies will be adapted within the scope of the air-to-surface attack concept. As a result of the studies, Turkish F-16s will gain the ability to engage surface targets with ATMACA Missiles in addition to IIR guided SLAM-ER missiles.

(We are eating good today in regards to missile news.)

We only have 5 Yalmans in service. I think they were a small mixmash program to give standoff capability for frontline units and are separate from the STA program which I think is now complete? As they used American made FLIRs, more couldn’t be made. After Aselsan’s latest news more are expected soon.

I don't remember seeing a post about this, but apparently it has proven itself.

Developed by ROKETSAN and integrated into the FNSS KAPLAN-10 STA, the YALMAN gun turret proved itself in the field. In the post of the TR Ministry of National Defense regarding the response to the attacks on Karakamış district and Köprübatı Border Post, it is seen that shooting was made from the YALMAN weapon tower with mast-mounted electro optics targeting. While it is not clear which missile was used, it is considered to be a UMTAS missile because it hit the target from above (top-attack) in the final stage. YALMAN can use UMTAS, L-UMTAS, OMTAS and CİRİT missiles.

We get to see the KaGeM V3 with aclearer view.

Pakistani sources claim that it is intended against air defense assets

Nose hints at a passive RF seeker combined with the info.

Low aspect ratio wings and overall shape hint at a design optimized for higher speeds compared to KEMANKEŞ

Update on KaGeM V3: It will also have a longer range than KEMANKEŞ. Really fascinating that ranges on par with our existent ALCMs are being achieved with far smaller munitions.

We used to talk about trying to overwhelm air defenses with expensive cruise missiles. Now we are talking about doing the same thing with stuff like that without much worry for cost.

Who would know small jet engines would impact the SEAD/DEAD doctrines like this?

Let's take a look at any potential project

IRBM->ROKETSAN is releasing follow ups to ballistic missile family quite quickly nowadays

400mm Artillery rocket->Since 400mm artillery rockets are becoming popular due to TBM class range and high counts it ain't gonna be a surprise for ROKETSAN to make one

ASROC or Torpedo Wing Kit->One of the unnamed projects

CİDA->ROKETSAN has changed names for systems before and after seeing the success of PLOS missiles they might revisit CİDA

Exo-Atmospheric Interceptor->There are plans to make such systems with ASELSAN working on a thruster control system for it

Something handheld if they go by the same naming scheme as Mete.
Giving tiny missiles larger than life figures’ names is dumb i think.
Or is it the modern day Turkish champion archer Mete Gazoz it was named after.

I would hope they revived/improved CIDA project,it looked quite promising,or something similar to KARAOK with air burst or thermobaric missile.
It's a popular concept considering more and more countries are working on similar type weapons Germany(Enforcer),Poland(Pirate) and Serbia just to name a few.

I remember CIDA was introduced as a solution for urban warfare. I personally think that it is to heavy and the operation would be to complicated for such a dynamic environment. I had the hope that TSK will purchase national made, modified Carl Gustaf recoilless rifles fine tuned according to TSK's requirements. The M4 variant for example weights only 6.6kg and packs a very serious punch including extremely simple operation. Programmable munition and also laser guided munition is available right now. The laser guided variant has ~2000m range and capability to hit moving targets. I think it combines ease of operation with capabilities of using modern smart munitions when needed.

After some research and development I am sure ASSAV can achieve the M4 variant's specs with support from SSB and if needed different ammunition variants can be developed together with MKEK, Roketsan and SAGE for example. It is just amazing how so old design can still be up to date with slight modifications.
